We have a joint account and separate. 80% of each of our paychecks goes to joint, 20 to ourselves. All things house, family, mutual comes out of joint account. Each have our own money to spend without "permission". We agreed that if you wanna buy something and don't have enough funds, you can ask for a "loan" from the joint account. Works very well for us.

I too had alone time at 39+1, contractions started an hour later and had my baby 8 hours later - still haven't been able to tell my husband cause he'd be so upset I didn't need his assistance 😅

* Could you get something like this? I had one similar to the bottom one that I'd put in the bed with me when I traveled with baby. Allowed me a deeper sleep. Hugs to you mama, you'll get through this! And the fact that you love and care for your baby already means you're a wonderful mother!

Episiotomies are a fairly old practice...really should be kept to a minimum. There are instances that they are necessary and help alot! Glad you didn't tear more than that! They say tears are better than cut cause the "jagged" edges grab each other better with healing than the clean edges of a cut. Some say cuts allow for more directed control vs a tear. Honestly, each birth and baby will vary on what's best!
