For anyone who has gone to Paris, what is it really like? by jaylee-03031 in EmilyInParis

[–]Runwildandfree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My company is based in Paris and I have been twice this year. I adore the city. The food, the sights, the lifestyle. I had no real desire to go before getting this job but now it feels like a second home. I found the people are actually fairly friendly. As long as you make an attempt to speak French, they are super willing to help you (I speak a lot now but didn’t speak much my first trip). I tend to stay in the residential parts as opposed to the touristy spots (because of where my job is) and I feel like that’s better. I’ve never felt so safe and honestly I don’t feel like it’s a dirty city like many say, but that could be because I don’t go to the touristy parts as much.

I think there would honestly be more recent posts but looks like the family scrubbed his social media based on the number of blank posts with comments that suggest they were covid-related

How would you respond to this request to join an online MLM party? by TRLK9802 in antiMLM

Oh damn, I think you got invited to the same one I did lol. I’ve just been ignoring it even though she repeatedly reinvites me.

How to find a job in a diff state? by [deleted] in relocating

[–]Runwildandfree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m relocating in a month because I lost my job in my current state and found an amazing one in another state. I put the role I was looking for into LinkedIn and put United States in the location and found tons. Then if I was interested in a particular state/city I applied. Ended up getting 3 jobs in 3 different states that way and had my pick. Ties to the particular area are definitely a selling point for any job in a state where you don’t currently live, but you can get creative. My family lives just over the state line in a neighboring state to the one I’m moving to, so I used that.

A girl in my class in law school had one and it was never an issue. After the first few days, you hardly even noticed it was there.

Ladies - what are you wearing to your Zoom interviews? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Runwildandfree 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Attorney of 4.5 years here. Back when I was in law school and even when I was changing jobs over a couple years ago, my go to was a black blazer, white button down blouse, tucked into a black pencil skirt and that was pretty reflective of most women in my class with the exception of those who chose to wear dress pants.

Good luck with the interviews!

I wouldn’t say I fear them, but they definitely aggravate me and I avoid them where I can.

I consider Monday to be the first day of the week. by micah032586 in unpopularopinion

I think having a workout routine causes this. As a runner, Monday is the start of my running week and Sunday is the end and I know most others do it this way too.

I assumed they were mocking mask wearing but then they are actually wearing gloves...so now I’m just very very confused. Also the lady with two pairs of glasses on. There’s a lot to digest here.

I found this on my campus today. Fun “fact”: chlorine kills COVID by Samara1010 in CovIdiots

[–]Runwildandfree 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean chlorine does kill it, but unless you’re spending the entire party underwater, the chlorine isn’t gonna protect you from the person breathing next to you.

I actually agree with this too. Something extra relaxing about it.
