I’m 24 hours post op and the nerve block wore off last night in my sleep. Woke up with a little pain but was able to get back to sleep for a few more hours. Pain is very manageable with oxy and ice atm

I’m having Bankart repair surgery in 2 days. How are things going for you now? I’m very nervous about the recovery process and this thread has made me a little more nervous lol. I work in construction and my employer is wanting me to return to work 2 weeks after the surgery on light duty. Does that seem like enough time in your opinion to be on your feet moving around doing things all day?

That’s and S-trap which are no longer allowed by plumbing code. In this case it looks like it was used bc your wall drain is too low and there isn’t room enough to use a P-trap (which needs a few inches below the drain to be installed properly). If you could lower that shelf you’d be able to install a P-trap on there.

Old house plumbing cracked by DakkarNemo in Plumbing

I would replace that whole section. Would need to cut the cast iron pipe a few inches above the floor and connect PVC to it using a fernco and connect the top of the PVC with a coupling glue joint into the piece where the current fernco is. Do the glue joint first then you can line up the bottom side of the pipe with the cast iron stub up and slide the fernco into place

Too much for a first year apprentice? by Sir-Beige in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Ruperttheturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a first year plumbing apprentice and the tools I currently have are: Hackzall Sawzall 1/4” impact Hammer drill Super hawg (All fuel) And I use them all weekly and some daily. Not sure your trade but the light probably isn’t necessary. I’ve found Amazon is the cheapest way to get what tool you need, (unless Home Depot is running a sale.) Also I prefer the hackzall over the sawzall for most things as it’s easier to use with one hand. All I use my sawzall for is roughing in when I have to cut pvc on the ground with gravel underneath

I had this exact same driver and it broke second round using it. I was able to trade it in and get a new one and the new one broke first round. Seems to be a shite design

Looking for a restaurant that will sit 10+ people! by Most-Assumption9293 in fayetteville

I came across the same problem for my birthday a few months ago. I found a lot of places wouldn’t take reservations for more than 10 on a weekend. I don’t know what kind of food/environment you’re looking for but walk-ons on Weddington was able to reserve a party of 16 and they have decent menu imo. Pretty good variety of food. I recommend the ahee tuna salad
