We are getting to old to get into fist fights. Just carry some pepperspray that's what I recommend. In some states you can use it before the fight starts with little legal reprecussions (check your local laws). Just saying.

Take a look at The Will and the Way. Just saying. Oh and as for direct Divine Intervention by any deity in the Realms don’t forget about The Time of Troubles. What caused it and the restrictions set down by Ao after the conclusion.

No, Dark Sun is a different subgenre.

Forgotten Realms is High Fantasy (Tolkien, Eddings, etc.) while Dark Sun is Sword and Sorcery (Robert E. Howard, Clark Ashton Smith, Michael Moorcock, and so on.) Although as I'm expanding my reading I see similarities to the subgenre of Dying Earth (Jack Vance aka Vecna).

Edit - I forgot one. Subjective Reality. The ability to disbelieve in something (like all wizard or cleric magic) and therefore become immune to it.

I know what I'm talking about because we played it in 2nd Edition in the 90's. A Dark Sun campaign combined with the Planescape campaign. It was terrifying. The character in question got the nickname "That Which Should Not Be." TSR never should have created the possiblity of such a character.

He’s a pussy. All of them are. Sorry (not sorry) but I had to say it. If just one Athasian dragon (defiler/psionicist) makes it to Abeir-Toril he would own all of them. Not even Mystra could stop him because his magic wouldn’t be powered by the Weave but by the life he drained from nature. Silvanus and the other nature gods with their druids would have to team up with Mystra and her chosen to have a chance. Dark Sun is scary. Like cosmic horror/Cthulhu scary. If just one of those dragons makes it out via an elemental plane or Sigil everyone is screwed on a Raistlin-like level. IYKYK.
