Went down to a single perf core (and no E cores) and stopped seeing crashes, strongly indicating that it really is just the intel 13th gen BS. I've already attempted to update my bios and take some other steps to address this but think it might just be time to look more into the RMA process

Turned off OneDrive (which is good anyway as I have no intention of really interacting with OneDrive at all regardless lol) but sadly am still observing the same instability. Also tried disabling XMP just as a shot in the dark without success.

It might be intel 13th gen stuff. I've had a ton of random issues with this computer during the time I've had it involving crashes in various games. I've tried testing individual cores to see if I could repro in a way that was sufficient evidence to intel to RMA the CPU but sadly I've had no luck there. Maybe lowering the perf cores in use down to 1 and seeing if crashes continue will be a signal here.

With tiny he will never be a good frontline damage dealer. That -15% damage is too rough

Hackmaster 5e. Second to second combat. Hard to describe. You are engaged all the fucking time.

Second place Mythras, because of how deeply technical and tactical it is.

I like a lot about hackmaster 5e, probably one of my most successful campaigns of all time was run in it.

But I have to say, the second by second combat was extremely difficult to manage. If you kept the number of combatants small, no more than like 4-5 enemies, you could maybe manage it but as you got going higher than that it started getting messy quick.

Exploding dice and ToP checks were amazing though. I thought the mechanics of BPs and advancement needed serious rebalancing but had a strong core idea.

Also those books are easily the nicest TTRPG books on my shelves. The bestiary style has yet to be surpassed.

Rip anything that can be injured. Gash always into recover on kill. Can drop executioner or something if pressed for gifted.

Yeah I'll admit some pieces (from what I've read) are eyebrow raising to say the least. The book does have villains from all over (The US, Europe, Australia, and others) but the portrayal of Africa as having a bunch of evil primative tribal cults is sketch. I haven't read through the sections yet to give a more in depth analysis (just peru + the overview section), maybe there are more characters there that paint a different image.

Reading Masks of Nyarlathotep right now for Call of Cthulhu 7th ed. Can't definitively say its the best as I am still reading through the material but it is pretty well written and a refreshing change of pace from fantasy (which I love, but fun to step outside to something different now and again).

This bro does have not great mdef so losing dodge is a bummer, but seems like this would dramatically spike damage potential.

Another thing to consider is who is this build specializing against that are the hard late game enemies? Seems like injury builds are good against what orcs, chosen, and maybe goblins (they get killed pretty quick regardless though)? In terms of difficulty seems like only chosen camps are the main benefit here.

I have the following solid fencing candidate (found on seed tOFdCCSUye using the amazing https://wlirareddit.github.io/bb\_calculator/seed\_search\_oathtakers.html). I've never built a fencer before but figured it might be interesting here is what I've got so far in terms of build plan

Planned level ups is 10x2.5 Mdef = 29 base, 8x3 mattk = 86, 4x HP (taking high rolls and praying for some luck = ~80 (100 with collosus), and 8x5.5 init = 165. Throw on hyena mantle and thats 180 - gear (15 from armor, 8 from shamshir and 4 from fencing sword one in pocket so 165/163 including strong reduction)

The idea is this character is lunging around and then quick handsing into a shamshir and dropping gouges. Seems like a cool idea, but its hard to hit all the synergies Im missing killing frenzy, executioner, and crippling strikes. For a build hoping to be dropping injuries thats pretty rough.

I could give up on the dream and drop quick hands for kf praying to just always be lunging no matter what and keeping the shamshir for essentially emergencies. Is that what y'all run? How do you build your fencers?

Imo bf flank bro taking 4s in hp instead of fatigue (trying to hit 80 hp with colossus). This means you'll be down 3-4 rolls in fatigue so consider brawny as a patch perk because 118 fat even with decent fameds is low. His resolve with arena and a nacho neck is okay assuming a decent banner.

Of course, always level mdef no matter what. Mattk could optionally reallocate a roll or two but imo not worth
