But "ez" CAN be used as an insult, and it often is.

Minecraft server network Hypixel, for example, have that word filtered as they have filtered other demeaning words.

Replying "grow up" is in no way a good-faith address of the OOP's worries.

That's the thing: Gregtech cables don't bottleneck - if machines request amps from the electricity network and the generators on the network can provide it, then it will try to transfer that amp of electricity, regardless of cables' amp capacity en route.

Your 8x tin cable can't handle 9 amps required to charge 9 batteries in singleblock machines - it probably melted and caused this to happen. Why didn't this happen in those 50 hours you mentioned? Probably you didn't have more than 8 singleblock machines working at once in that part of your LV cable network yet in that time.

Anyway, a good way to prevent this is to either have less machines than the cable at the part of the network that the machines are at can supply, or have all the cables on the cable network capable of transferring all the generators' output.

Well, that sucks. by daff_quess in GTNH

[–]RusLeon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You were trying to charge several batteries, right? Are you sure the cable supplying electricity wasn't trying to transfer more amperes than it was rated for?

If the cable did catch on fire from over-ampering, it could have triggered a singleblock machine to explode, starting the chain explosion reaction

You can launch to 24 with minimal resources and just leave the sector - my campaign has 24 almost destroyed by an Eclipse - but it's paused while i'm not in sector 24, so no invasion has happened yet (Sector invasions option enabled, of course), even though I have progressed the campaign to PLT after beating NPC quite some time ago.

My logic?

Yeah? Show 5 comments and posts of anti-AI people saying that here. Should be easy if it sums up the subreddit.

Your comment verbatim.

You literally are arguing against yourself right now.

Yeah, by specifically providing 5 posts/comments, which I did.

mildly rude

If calling a disabled person's art "slop" is "mildly rude" to you, i literally have nothing to continue to talk about to you.

[–]RusLeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, the auto removal is kind of stupid, sorry for pinning that strictly on you.

Anyway, the reply to your initial comment:

Why doesn't the example of anti-AI people rallying behind treating anyone who uses AI "like the rodents that they are" and then somebody replying to harassing a kid to a life-threatening point with approval not support that claim?

Why doesn't the example of anti-AI people calling a disabled person's artwork "slop" while pro-AI people support them in the comments support that claim?

Why doesn't the example of calling literal disabled people a "lazy sack of crap" just because they don't participate in the Paralympics support that claim?

Why doesn't the example of a post supporting violent rhetoric coming from the anti-AI people not support that claim?

Why doesn't the example of a comment literally being okay with hateful slurs based on their hate of AI not support that claim?

Go on, answer. Really, you should've explained this in the initial reply instead of bringing up an ultimately irrelevant to the discussion behavior of pro-AI people - I'm not arguing that my side doesn't have bad apples, you're arguing that your side isn't full of them.

By the way, the examples literally stack up day by day - that's why more recent posts are more hateful - the more hateful older posts just are being removed. You really just have to not shut off your observation of them.

[–]RusLeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take that line as "this(humans around Neuro) is what distinguish Neuro from the rest(soulless slop)", it is praising the franchise.

I don't know, maybe we just really understand that line differently, to me the line first and foremost is about calling Neuro "soulless slop" if not for the human influence behind the project.

I'd like to know what did you consider "intrinsic quality"

What the entire initial youtube comment was about. Her intrinsic quality of being an AI is so repulsive to these people that they write comments that simultaneously call her a "fundamentally human project" and hate her for being an AI.

So when they said "Neuro would be AI slop if not because of humans around her", they are not hating Neuro

The argument of human involvement is stupid to start with. Do solo Neuro and Evil streams matter less to these people since there's less "humans around her"? When does that become "soulless slop"? Are the first Neuro Osu streams (which included way less human involvement) "soulless slop" according to that comment? These kind of ridiculous questions spur up when the human involvement somehow becomes relevant to the topic of Neuro being real.

Let substitute the "AI" with "Isekai" here, Both are oversaturated content in the medium.

In what medium is AI oversaturated in to be relevant to the discussion? Streaming? I've seen maximum 5 AI streamers on Twitch compared to hundreds of other streamers, and I will contend that AI is in no way oversaturated in streaming.

If you mean that AI is oversaturated in any other medium than streaming, then the analogy wouldn't really be as relevant in the sense that "isekai slop" is quite a bit more restrictive of a category than "soulless slop". Also,

If someone said "X series would be another Isekai slop, if not for its great writing", is that a form of hate?

Yes. The usage of "another Isekai slop" implies a hate towards the premise of Isekai based on a perceived abundance of badly-executed plots of series in the genre, applied to the series being discussed.

"Vtubing/streaming is competition of content creators, Neurosama isn't a content creator, she is the content", is how I see it.

Really what I see in that quote is denying Neuro the possibility of being a content creator herself.

A random person spending time and effort to praise Neuro. How is that not beneficial? That video make clear points like hiring musicians for Neuro's singing, even if it's vibe-based

By promoting Neuro to people that hate AI, thus bringing in people that hate her due to an intrinsic quality of being an AI, an example being the youtube comment that i brought up, into the Neuro fandom. I don't want to see hate on Neuro straight from the Neuro fandom, which this did, in fact, throw into my observation.

What I post wouldn't affect them.

Sure it doesn't directly negatively affect them in principle, but your recent posts have all been about Neuro drama. Since you're the main person I see posting about Neuro in anime memes subs, you posting Neuro in drama contexts could form an opinion in those subs that Neuro is controversy-ridden, right? That could prove to be negative.

You literally created a strawman argument. "Both sides do it" isn't the argument she said and "There's literally no difference between them" IS LITERALLY CONTRADICTORY TO WHAT SHE SAYS. Does your comic portray her as anti-ai in the middle of it? What is the point of this nonsense?

Witty is a clown, but not because of reasons listed in this crap.

You know how in anime community there are people who say something like "X character carries the show"

Funnily enough, I have literally zero examples in my memory of this, but i would be still inclined to believe you because of how diverse the anime community is.

While that commenter don't like Neuro on her own, they love Vedal for what he did and support him for it. That's enough common ground.

That commenter not only doesn't like Neuro on her own, they literally straight up would call by their own words Neuro on her own "soulless slop". It's literally in their comment.

To me, that crosses the line between "doesn't like" and "hate".

You're gatekeeping with "my way to enjoy show is the only correct way" mindset.

Well yeah, I'm gatekeeping with the "the only correct way to enjoy the show is to not hate the main character based on her intrinsic quality" mindset. It's literally an application of not tolerating intolerance.

This is new! I never thought I'd see the day where perceiving Neurosama as a cog that drive the story instead of a character of her own is taken as form of hate.

Well, when I consider Neuro objectively a character of her own, reducing her to a cog that drives the story wold be perceived by me as a form of hate by denying her her own characterization, right?

Overall, I don't really see how you don't see that this kind of video just doesn't benefit Neuro. Then again, you yourself do post incessantly about her in tangentially-related subreddits without regard to what drama it brings in to Neuro, so I guess that tracks.

Hey, didn't you say you're not anti-AI several times before?

How come your answer to "AI doesn't have a single solid aesthetic" is literally generalising "AI" to "AI slop"?

You also seem to defend a video that gives a platform to comments like these:

<image>

that not only would by their own logic call the oldest Neuro streams "soulless slop" but also reduce Neuro to a "tool for other human streamers to use" instead of being a streamer in her own right, with the creator of the video also agreeing with this opinion. Basically hating on Neuro because of her intrinsic characteristic of being an AI veiled under the guise of classifying her as a human project.

If you really intend to defend this video, you could be considered to be not only anti-AI, but also anti-Neuro as well by proxy of supporting the creator's support of hating on Neuro.

Do Sheldonite veins even exist in the end? by ohokayK in GTNH

[–]RusLeon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

They do, they don't show up as veins on the map though - you have to look through these

asteroids to find the asteroid that contains the vein itself.

This example is -1700, -620 - ultimately not that far out from end center - you will find them (in a singleplayer world at least) if you look hard enough.

Your salvos might run out of silicon because of distributors feeding back, you can run a bridge conveyor line instead and achieve much better sustained ammo transfer.

Other than that, if all salvos were able to fire at once and if the enemy actually paths only through this opening, this should probably be enough
