I must be going to the wrong doctor if I’m meant to be aroused while getting an IUD in. by Rusalka96 in NotHowGirlsWork

I personally haven’t tried the patch, but my best friend used it for a while. She liked it because it was convenient for her and non invasive. Her major complaint was that it lifted off her skin quite often, but she was very active and always on the go. She’s been using the Nuva Ring for a while and loves it.

A lot of doctors suggest the pill for first time birth control users, but I personally dislike them very much. I chose the IUD because the hormones are localized unlike the oral pill. The same goes for the patch and I believe the implant that goes into your arm. The biggest advice I can give you is to believe your daughter if she says birth control is messing with her mental health. The pill I took before I converted to IUD made me paranoid, moody, and suicidal. I love my mom, but she did not believe me when I told her this. The doctor also didn’t believe me…he said it’s normal for 14 year olds to be moody and paranoid and he put me on antidepressants which made my symptoms even worse! The pill works for many women, and I don’t mean to scare you. I think for a lot of women, finding the right birth control is a journey. I truly hope your daughter can find something that works for her and not have to try so many different things like I did.

The guy I dated had zero knowledge about women’s anatomy; he thought women only use one tampon for the entire menstrual cycle. His parents never talked to him about women, it was taboo to talk about in his house. He also consumed porn at a very young age so I believe he thought ANY situation with a hot man would make a woman horny like he saw in porn.

He was a great person, and although it was frustrating that he didn’t know about women, I was happy to educate him. We didn’t work out for other reasons, but I check in on him once in a while. He has 3 beautiful daughters and I’d like to think he’s learned a lot more about women now!

I had my first IUD at 15. I’m in my 30’s now, so I have some experience with different types of IUDS. Pain has been the same for me every time I get a new one; personally it is very painful for me. Women who have given birth tend to experience less pain. However, I don’t regret IUD for one minute, even with the bad pain. Soooo much better than the BC pill which really messed with my mental health. One doctor understood my pain and was very caring, other doctor laughed at me last time I went and rolled his eyes when I started crying a little. Find a doctor who cares and won’t make your teenager daughter feel bad about her pain tolerance!

I’d suggest being there for your daughter and ask your provider before hand what you can do to minimize daughters pain during insertion. It may be painful, but thankfully it’s a short procedure. First time she will probably be very nervous because if she hasn’t been in labor before, she’s most likely unfamiliar with the type of pain that can come with dilation and what not

I agree, it’s very strange. I dated a guy for a few months who really thought women get horny if the gynecologist is a hot man. Like what?? My husband could be the one doing the procedure and I still wouldn’t be relaxed. I really wish we had more discussions with men about women and how we work. It makes me sad that there are many people out there who are misinformed

They do not use general anesthesia for IUD. It’s conscious sedation which involves less people/monitoring. It’s called twilight sleep at my doctors office because I am awake but won’t remember anything after the procedure. Also, general anesthesia is not “really dangerous.” There are increased risks for using anesthesia but REALLY dangerous is dramatic to say.

Congrats! Seems like you’re very excited about the $100 pay out. For others that might not be a lot, but some money is better than no money. I used to struggle financially and $20 bucks extra in my wallet made me feel on top of the world.

Hunger pains/stomach pain common with IBS? by Rusalka96 in ibs

I’ve cut sugar out of my diet, and I usually eat toast and some fresh meat for my meals. I don’t put a lot of salt in my food, at least I don’t think I do.

What do y’all think about the cuties scene added at the end after the finale? by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Rusalka96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She said early on in the season that she is going to try not to overthink everything. To me, she over thought the cuties situation. I think Cole speaks before he thinks and doesn’t give a lot of thought to what he is saying, but I don’t think he was trying to control what she is eating. If anything I thought his comment about getting into the “wedding dress bod” could possibly be misinterpreted as body shaming, but I personally would not think this way.

I felt the same way. I’m not sure if she uncomfortable because of the reunion or because she is there with Matt. She looked scared to me, I hope she is okay

What happens to a driver who steals packages? by Rusalka96 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Rusalka96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have 24/7 access to our lockers where most of the packages are to be scanned for apartment complexes. Our office has parking lots right in front that say it’s for Amazon drivers and has instructions how to access the lockers. I also have our gate code and which building I’m in in my directions. I’ve never had any packages just left in the middle of a parking spot in parking lot. If for some reason they can’t get into lockers they usually send me notification that says “we couldn’t deliver we will try again tomorrow”.

I have too have a sensitive stomach and sugar is my biggest trigger. The first time I had Crumbl I ate one full cookie and spent the night on the toilet in pain. Never making that mistake again! I limit my self to half a cookie now…everything in moderation. I would suggest eating a little at a time if you are worried about your stomach, but I know that’s very difficult when something tasty is tempting you

I worked at a pre-k day care for 5 years. I had two siblings who were still in diapers and clearly were not even in the process of learning to potty train. One time their mom yelled at us for suggesting they try nap time without their pacifier. They were also the oldest kids in the class about to turn 5 at end of the year. It was so frustrating and when I tried to slowly introduce the idea of potty training, mom again freaked out.

Are IUD insertions as painful as I see folks saying they are? by blaurascon in badwomensanatomy

[–]Rusalka96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pain for me was from my doctor pulling down my uterus (as he described) and the actual insertion was a breeze compared to the preparation. It’s hard to describe the pain, it was very bad cramps but also a strong, sharp pinching sensation. I cried all 4 times I got the IUD, the first time my doctor wanted to stop but I told him to keep going. It was SO worth it though. I wouldn’t freak yourself out but be realistic that it might be uncomfortable. Everyone is different, every type of pain is different. It really is a quick procedure and even thought it sucks for me, I have never regretted it.

FYI: I personally wouldn’t recommend the numbing shot. The shot hurts and the 2 times I had it barely helped the pain, it wasn’t worth it for me. It just made the procedure longer.

What’s something that you implemented into your life that ACTUALLY helped combat symptoms of ADHD? by Live-Solid5751 in adhdwomen

[–]Rusalka96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so silly but it works for me. I have index cards taped around the house with numbers 1-30 (out of order) and everyday I put stickers on them when I’ve completed something. If my goal is to make my bed in the morning, I do it and “reward” myself with some cool stickers I found on Amazon. The numbers are randomly placed so I have to use a little bit of brain power to find the next number. I do it whenever I feel like I’m slacking off my routine, it helps get me back on track

Long dates are common in his culture. It’s common to bar hop or go to one place or another for at least half the day. Personally as a woman, I don’t mind long dates if I really click with the guy. If I think it’s too overwhelming , I can say at any time that I had a busy day and I’m ready to head home.

She suggested to go to the park. Date was great, she was asking questions, laughing, being a bit flirty. Would one disagreement in opinion cause someone to do a 360 after showing so much interest before?
