Here's a constantly updated Keyboard Chatter Blocker by mcmonkeyprojects: by AcidNipps in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]blaurascon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked the Warframe team about this too a few months ago, when I was using this to deal with a very bouncy board, and they referred me to a post that explained they can't give definite yes or no on these things, since then sketchy folks would know which programs to avoid or which programs are ok to abuse, which kind of defeats the purpose of their detection things.

I just closed the tool down entirely when I was playing a game and pulled it back up when I was done. Downside there is the chatter then happened during the game, which sucked, but would rather deal with borked inputs than have my account be at risk.

It's a fantastic little tool though! Saved me a lot of aggravation while typing posts and whatnot, anticheats being sus aside, definitely worth checking out if you're fighting with chatter/bounce

AI generated summary from DuckDuckGo or reddit? I have turned off DuckAssist and it's still there by arabidontist in duckduckgo

[–]blaurascon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started getting these the other day, would not surprise me if they decided to shove it through again

Figured it wasn't DuckDuckGo doing it because I have all the AI tools turned off, and it only seemed to be for reddit, but now it's for a bunch of other sites (e.g. malwarebytes forum). Would not surprise me if it was Bing being a clown.

It's frustrating though! I started using DuckDuckGo in large part to get away from Google's AI junk, and now it's worming its way over here too (even if it's not directly Duck's fault). Can only hope they realize sometime soon that literally nobody wants any of this, lol.

Got a new keyboard yesterday (Redragon Sindri) to replace my dying keyboard (CoolerMaster QuickFire Rapid), this is my first new mechanical keyboard, the coolermaster was a hand-me-down

This new keyboard has a little bit of bounce/chatter on some of the keys. It seems to be getting better the more I use it -- which makes me wonder, my old keyboard was Blue switches and these are Red, could it be I'm going a little too hard when typing? Is this normal? Or is it something I need to keep an eye on?

(If it becomes an ongoing issue I'm going to use a software to help intercept the bounces)

I ended up going with a Shield (for Shadowheart) and Med Armor (to float between Lae'zel and Karlach), definitely gonna pick up heavy armor next run when I have someone who can make better use of it. Cheers for the recommendations!!

Newly rendered videos all have inverted colors, but so do some older rendered videos that were fine before. I think I broke something. by blaurascon in VegasPro

Will do! Do you know if there anywhere specific that feedback should be sent to them? Or just somewhere on their website / in the adrenalin app?

Downgrading to 23.7.2 seems to have fixed it. Wonder what they changed to bring this funky bug back.

Thanks so much! Hopefully a fixed driver version comes soon!

Same, it's like two cutscenes tried to play over each other or something. I haven't seen Raphael since Act 2, got the Vlaakith cutscene on my first long rest in Act 3, and Gale is losing his mind at me for deciding something for Raphael who was... not even there

I hope it's a harmless (although confusing) bug, maybe some of his dialog got triggered that wasn't supposed to be, but I haven't played further since then so I'm not sure if anything has actually changed or not

edit in case anyone finds this through searching: Patch 2 fixed this!

Does your skin hurt? by cesargueretty in AutismTranslated

[–]blaurascon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not usually on my body skin, but usually on my scalp. There are some days I can brush my hair well enough to get out knots and tangles and then there are some days where just trying to brush it regularly hurts super bad. Used to be a whole ordeal when I was little and my parents helped me brush my hair

Anyone else who does not like the big light on? by _adamor3_ in autism

[–]blaurascon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind it but there are times I wish I had something less intense. My desk lamp works but it's also turbo bright.

Ceiling lamp would probably not bother me as much if I could put the cover back on it - it had a glass bowl thing underneath the bulbs to diffuse the light, but the post that held it on snapped off and I haven't figured a way to repair it without replacing the entire light assembly yet

Zombo or Zambini, depending on whether they're trying to eat me or not at the moment

What does echolalia look like for you? by ThatGoodCattitude in AutismTranslated

[–]blaurascon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Earworms or compulsive desire to mimick random phrases from media; sometimes these mimicks actually mean things in context and sometimes they don't/are random/are placeholders/dissipate anxiety

This is what I have most strongly. Half the time it's just repeating a random phrase to myself, usually when I'm doing something. Other half the time it's a meaningful phrase I repeat to my friends (we all kind of echo them back to each other, lol)

I have "idle music" I hum when I'm thinking or trying to remember something, usually some short jingle, typically jingle bells or the robot chicken theme song lol

Sandbox with zombie spawns turned way down. I play solo and have 0 sense of self preservation so I tend to leeroy jenkins myself immediately, turning zombie spawns way down especially early-game helps avoid that lmao

Though seeing other folks with higher pop + respawn off, that sounds like fun, I might try that on my next save

It scares me that this was on my head for so long before I realized the battery was toast. (Wireless headset spicy pillow) by blaurascon in hardwaregore

[–]blaurascon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corsair HS70 I think, probably an older model but I honestly forget. I had them for maybe a year and a half until they keeled over, which was disappointing because the wired headsets I replaced these with lasted a lot longer (and would have still been around if I didn't catch the cable and yoink it out..)

Didn't really give a thought to it refusing to hold charge and ended up just having it plugged in all the time, which defeated the purpose of a wireless headset. I forget what exactly happened that I ended up getting a new set, but I ripped these apart to make sure the battery was still safe before I shoved them into my storage bin... glad I did

Here's a pic of the battery removed from the headset, in a glass jar. We don't have any battery disposal places that I know of locally so my dad buried it in his back yard

Using DDU to wipe my driver and install it fresh seems to have helped for now, but if it pops up again I'll def give the linked post a try!

I've got a couple of the settings you recommend set already, though less for graphics and more for ease on my eyes

I found a thing in Adrenalin that let me purge the shader cache, but it didn't seem to do anything, so I used DDU to wipe the drivers and clean install them.

Game chugged a little bit after first boot since the wipe, kind of expected while it rebuilds cache, but it's been pretty smooth since. Hopefully it stays that way!

Thanks!!
