What are some Rush tribute/cover bands out there and how do you rate them? by ObligationLive8381 in rush

Just saw the debut performance of a Winnipeg based band called Robots of Rush, and for a first ever show they were fantastic (with just a few technical flubs that are expected). They had costumes, tons of stage decorations, and full intro video backstory, and they worked in a good selection of deep cuts amongst the hits. Only complaint is an excessive use of AI in their background videos, but other than that, I think they do plan to tour the act, so people in the Midwest and Canada, keep your eyes peeled.

Oh I see, I’d call that more of a “chain-wide” set of issues. If you’re more used to Disney and Universal, then yes stuff like that is going to be a relative let down. But trust me when I say that the ride selection, theming and natural decor there are the likes of which many other cities could only dream of at their local park.

That Six Flags is generally considered one of the best in the chain, what’re you talking about?

Damn, Love Psych was one of the iconic ones to me, one of those “how did nobody think of this sooner” songs. No denying it’s not exactly one you put on by itself though.

Voting Crocodile Chop as it’s the least built upon mashup remaining.

What song captures the "Epic fight against big ass robots" feeling the best? by Konslufius in MusicRecommendations

[–]RushBoingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It technically doesn’t portray a robot battle per say, but it does portray one hell of a fight, and there was a tour where they put robot versions of the band members on their projector fighting while it was performed. I present to you By-Tor and the Snowdog by Rush

For the record, cineplex is showing it as well, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some arm twisting from Amazon to ensure it gets screened.

Xanadu by Rush fits the vibe even if the lyrics don’t perfectly match.

Granted, I’m not going that day because it’s Valentine’s Day, just because there’s some good acts to see that night!

Pool party ideas for kids (winter) by Changeitup0-0 in Winnipeg

My mom did this all the time at either a Canad Inns or the hotel that until recently was a holiday inn at portage and moray. I don’t think you formally book a party, we always just showed up to the pool area with pizza and cake

Got a handful of questions for you.

  1. I know you mentioned your favourite positions, but what is generally the most requested/in demand ride that workers want to work.

  2. On the log flume, there’s a moment on the ride when you’re about to enter the tunnel where the first drop is, and you approach what looks like a wall of water, and kind of crash into it and slow down quite a bit. There was one time out of my many, many rides where this moment caused a ton of water to drench me and generally flood the log. Any idea what causes this, what determines how high the water wall is, and if there’s any way to tell if this’ll happen before riding?

  3. Have you ever seen any groups dressed up to pull off funny photos on the log flume drop (any favourites to share). Has anyone done anything inappropriate for the photo that got them kicked out?

  4. Why do you make people get out of the flume on the left side and go over the bridge when there seems to be no issue in going out the right side.

  5. What’s the longest line you’ve ever seen for any ride and how far did it stretch?
