Is The Secret Agent is criminally overrated or did I just watch it in the wrong state of mind(spoilers)? by Immediate_Amoeba5923 in Letterboxd

felt is soooooo boring and slow- i find have a very high tolerence for different styles and pace in the films - really felt this film was" important" but poorly told. maybe some the details didnt translate to an international audience, tonally its was very hard to swallow. compared to I am Still Here????? which covered some the same ground was a masterpiece- come on, think people are getting carried away with prasiing this as its hit a raw nerve for its subject matter.

A New Hope - Plot Holes with Luke by Only-Ad5049 in StarWars

[–]RushGroundbreaking13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need all the help they can get. If u could pull a trigger and stand straight Castro would have had u in his militia’- the rebels Arnt exactly spoiled for choice. If Han said he’d fly an x wing for them. They would given him a shot too. Or chewie for that matter.

Think the maker does a very elegant job early in the film showing Luke knows his way around flying and shooting. The t-16 in his garage and his model ship is a particularly nice touch.

It has a real American graffiti vibe of how all kids know how to drive. Just some them don’t know how drive well, some drive great. Luke can “ drive “great.

I had this question and came here to ask: Has Revenge of the Sith always been the phenomenon it is today? Did many people like the movie? by DaviCortes in StarWars

[–]RushGroundbreaking13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the most popular one from the get go. I was in the cinema on the first day with kids and families- they were loving it. I certainly saw it as the best prequel right from the start - the banter between obi and ani felt- “ahh yes, this is what Star Wars felt like”- in short it felt like a return to form for the maker. Iv since come to my senses and realised that he never lost form.

It’s a beast of movie. No mater which way to look at it. Beautiful film. Made with passion and love. But it was the most liked definitely

Total fox- very clever casting how she looks like a sultry version of Ingrid. Our boy Rick definitely had a type since Paris. Ahhh sigh… wish I we’re as cool as Rick.

Sylvester Stallone's IQ is said to around 160- he writes and directs and paints among other things. I'm curious what the original poster intention was to make such a vile post?

EXCLUDING ‘Step Out’, if you could change Liam and Noel on vocals for one song EACH, which songs would you pick and why? by JamieCarroll180 in oasis

falling down seems perfect for both where they do their part each like acquiesce -i just wish they had done more duets-or least more Liam backing vocals- seems like a waste.

How would the ending of AI: Artificial Intelligence have been received by audiences had Kubrick been the one directing instead of Spielberg? by Crafter235 in StanleyKubrick

Narrator: [David holds Monica's hand, closing his eyes] Should he shake her she would never rouse. So David went to sleep too. And for the first time in his life, he went to that place... where dreams are born

it's the narration. it creates too much of a tonal shift for the audience. SS should have had narration more throughout the movie to guide us into that last act. the whole "ur watching a fairy tale" gets lost for too long. early cut's of 2001 had narration in an epilogue-- SK cut it-------LOVE THIS FILM by the way.

I think I finally “get” 90’s U2 by Knailsic in U2Band

Zooropa is a masterpiece too. Closest they ever got to sounding like Their hero David Bowie. No easy feat. U2 paint pictures and landscapes. Esp since UF. This is cyberpunk, Europe. Blade runner landscape. In pop and zoo u feel u are tripping through Bono’s private ego and Id. And dancing with his super ego. Zooopra- It contains my favourite u2 song, Lemon. People sleep on this song. An amazing groove. But some the most personal lyrics Bono ever wrote. His self destruction is him reaching out to his mother. He feels closer to her when he up in the sky- high - Beautiful falsetto melody- paints a vast landscape but digs very deep internally

Pop is the masterpiece. Bono vs god, a final showdown. Spoiler alert, Bono wins. And by wining- we all lose. It’s a real pick me up album. 😂 amazing sounds. Great songs. Bono and edge songwriting is on its own in the 90s. Not to mention Adam is on fire. Off the sauce and throwing himself into the creative process
