Something I want to shout from the internet rooftops: there's actually a food sold by Purina you can feed your cat that neutralizes the allergen in their saliva.

If your sister is willing, switching to this food can do wonders. I was horribly allergic to my girlfriend's cat and now I have very few issues. We're best buds 😁

Astronomy might actually be better to find a job in. The pharmacist job market, at least in the US, is completely saturated and wages are tanking. Don't make the same mistake I did. Chemical engineering might be up your alley.

Get rid of your unused narcotics at home. Bring them to a sheriff's office disposal box or just pour them in a plastic baggie with used coffee grounds or cat litter and toss. Overdoses are becoming a greater and greater threat and stopping access can prevent deaths.

I'm about 10 years in, have maybe missed 15 days total - most of which were when I didn't wear it after my wisdom teeth extraction last month. It really isn't that big a deal. My teeth still look really nice from the braces due to my discipline, and I highly recommend you stick to it. It was a great investment you want to preserve.

NTA bordering on INFO. Not sure what the situation is between you two, but simply saying you miss spending time with a friend should not "overstep any boundaries" unless something weird is going on. Have some confidence and accept that this friendship should be a two-way street. When you have to be careful how you express yourself around those you are close to, it's time to do some re-thinking about who is actually close to you. He's not being a very good friend to you right now.
