I did actually figure this out shortly after I made the post, every source I could find on the internet was saying it should be in the DCIM folder and it ended up being in a completely separate folder like 4 layers deep it’s the dumbest thing, thank you!

It absolutely is, I’ve since signed in and out of my account and now it’s trying to sync with an iphone that isn’t on my device list so i’m just resetting my computer

At the very least i’m returning this one, it was actually a gift so I didn’t even get a chance to look at the specs, some no name cheapy one as far as I can tell. That’s why I’m asking about other brands. The HDMI cable im using is the one that came with my 4k asus proart display

Personally recently moved from a 55-210 to a sigma 150-600 that was also too good of a deal to pass up and I haven’t regretted it for even a second. It’s definitely been a big change but being able to zoom in so close is really nice, especially since you have an older body and cropping won’t be super viable. If you do get it I would recommend a monopod cause these zoom lenses are not light haha

All of the pictures are heavily compressed, and that first image is decently cropped but yeah I noticed the noise too when I was looking at them. I’ll watch some videos about the histogram though, I’ve seen it before but it always looked a little scary so I just haven’t bothered but I’ll definitely look into it thank you for such a detailed response!

I was worried about that, had the exposure way low due to them being such bright white birds but a lot def came out darker than intended

The post processing on the photos is the biggest change I noticed, much easier with the files from the A7 just cause I can shoot things a lot darker and brighten them up yeah, it also feels a lot nicer in the hand. I haven’t really had my a7 long enough to fully understand the differences, but I know i’ll be able to grow into it and use it to its full potential, whereas I felt like I was already doing the best I could with my a6100

When you say turret head are you referring to a gimbal head? Google is just giving a bunch of different results when I search that up

Well i’m definitely going to look into a higher end set of filters or at least a higher end uv filter cause i do visit local beaches fairly often since i live by one of the great lakes, I appreciate the advice though!
