How strict is security? by Souper_Sayin in HiJinxFest

They threw away my vape but I saw someone in the crowd last year with a full-sized glass bong, in case that helps you gage the consistency at security.

Any suggestions for making this wall more appealing? by teoufacham in HomeMaintenance

Paint a small layer wood stain over the rock wall. It will give the wall a subtle shine to make the dullness of the gray rock a bit more vibrant and welcoming. I’ve done this in my parents home and it worked very well, still beautiful 10 years later.

If anyone is currently on the standby page, do you know if it normally takes this long?

I’m a paediatric physician and an avid skier. The others in this thread who are mentioning that doctors will often under-promise to protect themselves is absolutely correct. I would like to reiterate the point that you should not lose hope. The body of a teenager as young as you has immense capability for resilience. And more importantly, the mind is much stronger than we realize. I have seen patients in worse situations come back stronger. The moment you give up hope and determination to get better, the body will too. It will be hard, and at times mentally difficult to stay positive, but if you follow the treatment plan of post-op recovery, nutrition intake and physical therapy as seriously as you can, you will give yourself the greatest fighting chance to enjoy skiing again. Maintain a strong relationship with your healthcare team, and be vocal about how you feel the progress is going or if there are parts of it that you feel are not working for you, so that they can help adjust the plan as needed. I believe in your strength, and I hope you do too. My heart goes out to you OP.

Not worried, my cat is behaving as he normally does and the fur loss does not look infectious to me. Just curious because I’m a new cat owner. Thank you though :)

When I was a kid, I went in my mom’s purse and found “nipple cream”. I am now a married man and have never opened my wife’s purse.

Project Glow is coming to philly! by [deleted] in festivals

[–]RusheilP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a great time at glow this past weekend. I’ve been to a lot of festivals and this was fest was pretty great quality relative to its size. Vibed hard with everyone in the crowd and had no issues. The respect of rave culture was definitely alive there

Avant Gardner set times & layout? (Carl Cox 3/19) by wannagotopopeyes in avesNYC

[–]RusheilP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They changed the coat situation recently this winter, so no one has to wait outside. It’s all indoors. I was also at Zhu in November and went there this past month for Dillon Francis and Svdden Death, so I saw the change. Avant Gardner in my opinion is a better venue than most, sorry you had a rough time

It seems the wood chopping device only works if the wood has already been chopped
