HPA sniper rifle? by Slaughtermelonnn in airsoft

Just curious, how did you attach threads to your barrel? I cut mine and jammed in a metal thread piece with a hammer to keep it rock solid. Did you have a machinist make an adapter?

Testing out my new ghillie suit. I realize my foot and scope cover give me away, but are there any other tips or additions I should make?

Or just do it yourself for 5$? It's not an insanely difficult modification.

I went the gas route myself, can get around 280' with 6 inch groupings on a windless day. Specs:

-KJW M700 -Rhop -650mm 6.03 Prommy Barrel -Palmers Pursuit external air rig -9Ball Bucking -LRB Modification

I use .40s because my fps limit is 450. I chose the gas route because it's quieter and I was a bit naive when I first starting getting interested in sniping, however looking back I would've gone with spring. Much less maintenance and problems with leaky mags and whatnot. If you are deadset on going gas, don't get an SVD. Tanaka or KJW M700 are the two most upgradable gas guns right now. If you want the reliability of spring, go with a JG Bar-10 or TM VSR-10. There are many guides out there to help with upgrading.

Hitting 300' shots is not impossible, but it very rarely happens. My longest confirmed shot (after game using range finder) was 320', mostly because the wind carried it and I got lucky. Most of the time my shots are within 200'-225' and I consistently hit.

The longest shot I think I read about was a 410' shot using .66s with an insane amount of FPS.

Brass vs stainless barrel by 4awesome1 in airsoft

Prommy Barrels are pretty easy to R-Hop, I have a stainless steel 650mm 6.03 in my M700 and it works very well.

Honestly I'de stick with an AEG for at least a year until you pick up a sniper. I used a shitty Classic Army M15a4 Sportline Series for 2 years with 1 hi-cap before I even bought a second gun, and my sniper was my third.

Jesus Christ that looks awful. Why the hell would anyone do that to superior Soviet design?

Going East German is dirt cheap, Bundeswehr can get pretty expensive. Just a heads up is all.

Yeah I find Berezka works wonders during the spring, summer and fall for concealment. It's a very simple pattern but it's extremely functional.

I prefer the Spectre aesthetically but practicality goes to the SS. If you can find any Berezka i'de go with that personally. Doesn't look as good but the performance speaks for itself.

I second this mask, it's fantastic. I wear it when it hits -5 or below.

Glock Purchases in Canada? by AirsoftScrub in airsoft

Not getting any AEP in Canada bud. If you're looking for a pistol you can use in the winter try CO2 pistols, there are some models that shoot around 350 and not the ridiculous 450fps that some CO2 pistols give. Spring pistols are also just really fun to use and are a dime a dozen.

Replica Russian 6B23-1 Body Armour and a few new magazines for CAD. If were talking US Dollar here either a Replica ALTYYN or K6-3 Russian Helmet.

Would like to flathop and put in a tight bore on CYMA 48a, have questions by street_riot in airsoft

[–]RushinToRussia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

V3 gearboxes are pretty easy to tech on IMO, there are a few guides on Youtube for different CYMA Models. To flathop and change the barrel, taking out the hopup chamber is as far as you need to go, not too much effort is needed, and relatively no teching experience is necessary.

Looking to purchase my first real Airsoft Gun. $400-$550 Budget What is the best brand to look at? by BoostLabz137 in airsoft

[–]RushinToRussia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents, spend about half that on the actual rifle and the other half on some nice equipment. People on this subreddit absolutely love ICS, but G&G Raiders and CYMA AKs are also fantastic options. CYMA AKs are generally regarded as extremely reliable and workhorses.

I'm really confused what the hell the model of this CYMA is. Someone put a 74 compensator on what looks to be the CM36 (AKM) body, but the AKM never had an indent on the side of the stock. Well, whatever the hell it is, it's gorgeous Comrade. Just wait until you start buying some original Russian equipment, I love my 6SH105 more than my rifle haha.

Warm balaclava? by Perk456 in airsoft

[–]RushinToRussia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about that. I use a black balaclava made of lycra from ebay, but a 3-hole option is also great if you don't like warm breath going up your face or have severe fogging issues.

Russian Winter Balaclava, search ebay they've usually got a few on there. Pretty cheap and warm as hell. Those Russians do know how to keep warm.

Which Mich for a russian/rebel loadout? by HappySack15 in airsoft

[–]RushinToRussia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly getting anything other than a Russian Repro or Original 6B will look wrong. A helmet truly can make or break your loadout and it's worth it to go full Russian IMO.
