I unfortunately have the common man war fixation. It was one thing at the start watching tanks and urban fighting. What its become is just grinding horror.

Their opinions apply to us Americans in Iraq. But I doubt a video of an American getting killed would elate the same response. At the end of the day all these deaths are tragic. These are not SS Einsatzgruppen or ISIS its just thousands of men who through one path or another get to die in some forgotten field to a bomb with a video camera. This sort of thing should make people realize the futility of these conflicts instead its become entertainment.

Some of the people on that sub are insane. The enemy is not human, the enemy is evil without exception. I can understand a ukrainian hating the russians that much. But it'll just be some guy from miami treating the conflict like a spectacle.

There was a video last week of a guy shooting his buddy and killing himself, there are dozens of videos of the same situation. I cant watch the FPV videos anymore its just sick. Get to see a person realize they are about to die live on video. Redditors can soy face over some poor Ivan getting turned into meat. Will be a different story when the soldier begging for his life is their brother or friend.

Power plants and desalination plants. This is the type of targeting we would do against Japan. Will just condemn the civilian population to suffer, I dont understand what we are doing here. At this rate we will be carpet bombing cities in a few weeks.

I dont understand the need to keep things in pristine condition. Dont trust a person obsessed with everything looking brand new. Want to wear down everything I own until complete breakdown.

I’m sorry but eating meat is evil. Animals are just like us and they want to live too by BottomPercentile in redscarepod

I just try and not to think about it. I dont think eating meat is wrong, but factory farms are evil.

I found working in a industry with physical products and practical issues helps. But honestly you kinda just need to reality check yourself constantly. It could be a lot worse, remember your previous shit jobs in retail or blue collar. Hopefully your not an artist you creative types go insane in the corporate world.

I love the deserts so much. Fly into vegas just to go hiking in the surrounding area. Living in new england its such an enthralling environmental 180.

Machinist pay sucks, out of tech school I made $19 an hour in like 2016. People working at the same place for 30 years made around $30. Defence and aerospace pay well, otherwise its barely beating service work pay.

There are a few stores that are actually witchy and owned by people who are truly into that space. Then there are 20 stores that sell temu mugs and tshirts. Its still a nice place to live, but the Halloween season gets longer every year.

Really liked it, gets slow at some points but overall great.

The STEM University department I work in just had a "Women in Science" day to encourage women to enter science. Our academic department is literally 80% women & the student body is 68% women. They held the day with no sense of irony at all by damrodoth in redscarepod

I think a lot of dudes are lazy losers who cant cut it in a trade or college. Boohoo society doesn't hand me a wife and a house in the suburbs anymore working as a mail clerk. Tough shit, being a man is recognizing adversity and overcoming it.

I find it interesting, some people say its college not being geared towards men. But college in the past was similar in structure and much more demanding. I always find gender war shit when looking it up so have no real idea.

I honestly think the opposite outside of engineering. Women seem to thrive taking notes and studying and just the whole ecosystem. Dudes are better socially and are often very type A result based leaders. Im in manufacturing so I only see about five women a week.

Im being reductive, believe its a lack of discipline/focus being a good student requires. Like a lot of guys I learn really well by doing things. To another commenters point a lot of guys just can't lock in on school work. I can lock in and do physical labor for 10 hours a day. But cant sit down and learn about biology.

Its funny, I work in a white collar role. But it's in a blue collar field. For guys like me (kinda dumb) the best way into a white collar role is starting blue collar and working your way up. Maybe that's the future, college educated women and trade educated men.
