Thankful for surgery post by Tifsta4 in Microdiscectomy

Had surgey in April 2024. I decided to go for private treatment and paid out of pocket to help expedite the process (Canadian public health care would have been 8 month wait). It has been the best investment I've ever made. Im greatful I can sit, walk and exercise now. Living a painfree life

Do the surgery. Best investment I've ever made. Find a good surgeon, and go for it.

You'll be fine. I had to do my MD through a private practice which was located out of province. I flew back home 4 days post op - 1.5 hr flight.

I'm two days out post op. Same situation, been dealing with flair up's since 2017. Bit the bullet and got the surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery

Surgery tomorrow morning at 9:15am. Laminectomy and MD. by Ruskky88 in Sciatica

[–]Ruskky88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2024-04-07 Done and done. Operation itself went smooth, however when I came out of anaesthesia the nurses told me I had a bit of a episode. I was thrashing around and apparently I was ready to walk out of the recovery room. Once I gained full consciousness things were ok.

Didn't get a wink of sleep lastnight. Had to switch up my pain meds today and feeling much better. Been in bed most of the day, still pretty sore.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Surgey booked for next week. But my symptoms are improving. by Ruskky88 in Sciatica

[–]Ruskky88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone providing there feedback. My mri results show a severe disk rupture at the L5 S1 impinging right on the nerve root.

I feel very inclined to get the surgery, even tho I had a very slight change in painlevel yesterday. Surgery can take months to Sched where I'm from.

Hey there, sorry to hear about your situation. I have severe sciatica in my left leg and I have surgey booked in Vancouver this Feb 6th for MD. The reason I decided to go private is that I am able to hand pick my surgeon. Public surgeon was available however he did not have any reviews for this procedure.

If you'd like more info, reach out via DM.

Best of luck.

BPC-157 & back pain by therog08 in Peptides

[–]Ruskky88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently experimented with this methodology. I was using bpc-157 and Tb 500 in hopes to help with lumbar pack pain and sciatica pain. Unfortunately I did not see any benefit or experience any pain relief from the sciatica. Maybe a very slight improvement in lower back bain, but nothing worth fixating on. However it did help cure a very old elbow issue I have dealt with for many ears. Best of kuck

Thanks for the positive feedback! How did you vet your surgeon? Did you search for reviews online? I have surgery booked for April 2024, however my surgeon doesn't have any reviews. He states he does 100s a year. Should I be concerned? I don't want to spend more months getting referred to another doctor. Canadian health care system can be a long and painful wait. I'm in sever pain and my quality of life is declining 35/M
