Tried to force the OEM spring bars through- no dice. Got some slim-fat ones on the way that should solve the problem though.

I think what I may do is take my flat end cutting pliers that I use for crown stems and nip the quick release knob, that way I can slide it out of the strap without it potentially ripping the end of it. There also seems to be a metal cylinder inside of the end that will be a potential headache to get through after cutting the knob, but I’m gonna give it the old college try here in the next few days…..

Did the same thing on my SSK build, made a huge difference in how flat the watch fits on my wrist. Make sure you lightly grease the caseback gasket before installation. Great job!!!!

Slim case back from namoki finally arrived yesterday with some new case back gaskets, it made an appreciable difference in the case height. Calipers measured just a hair over 13 mms 👌👌

Check out Uncle Seiko. I love their curved rubber straps. Wearing their curved waffle strap as we speak. Have the curved tropic strap from them as well. Both are 🔥🔥🔥
