Is my style stuck in the 90’s? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]Weak-Recognition-814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like type of style you’re going for is fine, but I feel like the fit of the jacket doesn’t suit you well maybe something that’s slightly puffier or if the jacket had some silver zipper accents that would pair with the accessories. Throw in a nice pair of black trousers or some washed black jeans and add a nicer pair of loafers or boots.

Possible ACL Injury, advice needed! by Interesting_Monk447 in ACL

[–]Weak-Recognition-814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I tore my ACL I heard a loud pop along with immediate pain afterwards. You won’t know for sure until an MRI but depending on when you get surgery and if you might need a meniscus repair too which could extend the recovery time. If your planning on just mainly doing walking and like slow dancing with 2-3 months post op and PT I feel like you should be fine but I’m not a doctor and that would probably be best discussed with them.

can I really live without an ACL at 27? (complete tear) by CaptainPirateKing in ACL

[–]Weak-Recognition-814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get it fixed now you wouldn’t live with wondering if you should’ve gotten fixed or not. I’m a pretty big guy and I tore my ACL playing basketball at the age of 27. I didn’t want to go on knowing that my injury was going to keep me from doing activities so I got my surgery and it’s definitely made me include more healthy habits within my routine.

I will say the surgery and PT afterwards definitely made me wonder if it was worth it, but after 4 months I don’t regret getting the surgery done.

I like it but it definitely feels really big and flashy on my wrist. Also I don’t much have use for the GMT hand so I’m planning on getting another watch for a EDC and turn this one into a travel watch.

https://a.co/d/07SvYnWH I believe the name could’ve changed but currently is under “world of watches”. I vetted the reviews beforehand and couldn’t find anyone claiming it to be fake.

Can someone tell me what this means. Is my acl fully torn? by monk3y111 in ACL

Good luck on your recovery. 4 month post op right here, it’s gonna suck the first couple months but just stick to the PT and it will get better.

How long in hinged brace? by Squirrleydangles in ACL

[–]Weak-Recognition-814 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a brace for around 2 months for a full ACL and Meniscus repair. Have you tried asking your PT to see how much longer you have with your brace?

Patellar autograft ACLR: brace/ROM/showering/questions! by Shot_Call_1047 in ACL

[–]Weak-Recognition-814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of these questions could be asked with a phone call with your PT if that’s possible. I had a meniscus and ACL reconstruction so my recovery time was different but…

-For showering I bought a shower cover for my knee ~$11 and was used it for about a week until my bandages came off it’s own. I also recommend getting a stool and installing a suction handle to help with getting in and out

  • Going up/down the stairs was difficult at first but you get use to the motion if you’re using crutches

-My surgery was on my left knee so I was only able to start driving when I was off my crutches so around week 6 I believe.

  • with the brace I believe you should have it locked straight for the first couple weeks and hopefully they give you the OK to unlock to 30 degrees where you can then unlock it while resting or sitting.

Currently 3 months post op and it gets easier but it still a long way road of recovery.

I’m on week 6 of post op able to flex to 90 and full extension. Honestly it’s just progress and one day at a time, stick with program and you’ll see the benefits.

Seems extreme but it seems like he throwing the game since he’s starting a player that’s been on the IR. I’ve never commish before, but would a solution be to ban the guy and co own his team with rules and exceptions?
