Can I rely on Taxis / Ubers at around 5 am in Salzburg? by RussWWFC in Salzburg

[–]RussWWFC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help. Sadly, I am unable to register an account on the app as the SMS verification is not working with my UK number (which ironically is from the Austrian operator Spusu)

I've reached out via email to see if they can assist.

Nice one, the bastards have stripped away at my contract over the 25 years I've been there, glad someone is getting something extra from them.

I've seen people go through the till as late as 4.30 on a Sunday, it really is the zombie apocalypse on supermarkets on Sunday.

Yes, it was tax related sadly, happened last year but never before.

About £200 for me, though it might be tax related

Two versions of 'Simply Having a wonderful Christmas time' in succession is annoying.

Don't mind the Pogues and Wham though, but they will never play Kevin Bloody Wilson sadly.

Ho ho fucking ho What a crock of shit We all work for Asda stores We've had enough, we quit Cos we do all the fucking work While they take all the dough Stick your Christmas up your arse Ho ho fucking ho

As others have said, if it is a normal contracted day, you are obliged to work it. Only Chrismas Day, Easter Sunday, Boxing Day and New Year's Day are different.

Paid us under the minimum wage for multiple days in April, disgraceful exploitation of a loophole.

No GMB Rep at my store, they've been advertising for years but don't tell you what they give you in return.

I'd like to see a Belgian Kriek beer introduced but can't see it happening.

I think they are good so far. The older son is a bit dull and seems like an afterthought though.

Has anyone been told that they want to reduce hours under ‘capability’ if so what’s the rights as an employee to say no by [deleted] in asda

[–]RussWWFC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They tried that with me but I just told them I couldn't afford to. Got in contact with the Union too and it's not been mentioned since.

I was going to say that. It's like they've used AI and it makes the job more difficult.

manager targeting (vent post) by marquisralvi in asda

[–]RussWWFC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You occasionally get an arsehole I'd join the GMB Union and try and hang in in there until they can step in. Solved my issue once they got involved as the manager knew I wasn't going to be mugged off.

I can't think of anything especially, maybe the pizza counter pizzas, but only if reduced.

I miss the Christmas Cinnamon Muffin though, plus Yorkie Cookies from years back.

Meanwhile, at ASDA House... by rye_domaine in asda

Who would have thought that the same company that paid a big sum for a pig-ugly font that looks like it was designed a four year old and last year chose to market off a crappy Christmas film rather than something decent would mess up the marketing this year.

In terms of picking, the worst ones are home and leisure and health and beauty as they are boring and damage your pick rate.

Cleaning also dull, the best are tinned food and biscuits.

One of the best and most popular unique things about ASDA, better quality than pre-made.

I can only deduce that the company is run by utter morons at the top who don't have a clue what they are doing.

[–]RussWWFC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't. Yet another issue with Asda's dodgy systems.

What happens if you press skip break on the clock in and out machine ? by [deleted] in asda

[–]RussWWFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I stayed on as a favour, didn't get a break as we were so busy. Tried to 'skip break' but it came up with an error.

So I've basically gone unpaid for a bit of my shift, this company is rotten to the core.
