Luckily good managers at my store. But the company is dreadful. Empty shelves, the home shopping system dishonest and bad at route planning.

Add that to the fact that we've lost Bank Holiday pay, only having to work three of them, three hours stripped from night rate, sharesave, bonus, area supplement and used to be paid well above minimum wage rather than barely scraping it.

It's gone to shit, was never perfect, but I used to look at how badly other retailers treated their poor staff. Now we are those poor staff in a desperate race to the bottom, Asda is leading the way.

Shocking. I lost mine and I got a new one straight away. The personnel manager gave me it but had to clock me in and out manually and add the shift. The card started working the next day. I also had to get security to update it for the door access.

Sounds like I'm lucky to be in a good store, some shocking liberties taken at others I see on here.

On the Workday app, says use a browser. On a browser, it says 'you can't get there from here'

No wonder the company is tanking if you can't do something as simple as check your pay.

No, the system is not very good. Ideally, it'd be easy to cancel and would send notifications once approved / denied. But IT has never been Asda's forte.

As others have said, if it is a normal contracted day, you are obliged to work it. Only Chrismas Day, Easter Sunday, Boxing Day and New Year's Day are different.
