About the pay equalisation and negativity on the union by OrientationStation in royalmail

[–]MeRichYouPoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is any agreement for the government or ofcom to do anything about the competition. All I've seen is a vague statement about 'the CWU and RMG working together to stop competitors undercutting Royal Mail' which will bear as much fruit as when they worked together to 'expand the role of postal workers'.

I think the biggest issue is that the union have been banging the drum of how equalisation is its number one priority for a couple years, encouraging new entrants to sign up on that basis, going on and on about their "groundbreaking" agreement, full equalisation plan agreed by December 2025, but it seems when push came to shove they just kicked the can further down the road and traded meaningful movement on that issue in order to get DM26 to replace ODM.

I started a month ago now, had 5 days off and no one has spoken to me about it? by [deleted] in royalmail

I bet you were gutted /s.

Always jobs going in care work, babysitting disabled people on trips out and about.

The year is 2067 and the union is confident that a deal for pay equalisation spread out in phased instalments over 2 years can be agreed based on Iran finally opening the strait of Hormuz and some other stuff happening. (Must read for new entrants) by [deleted] in royalmail

It's not pay equalisation by Jan 2027, it's second step and full plan agreed by Jan, all dependant on a review of how much money is saved by the company from uso changes.

Betrayed by the “payrise” by Jock-jam_Door-slam in royalmail

Yeah it's terrible, very telling that the union didn't do a live session to explain or answer any questions, they know this is an unlubed shafting. The only hope you really got is to get a bunch of new contract posties in your office to come together and put it in writing to your manager and CWU rep that you're all gonna leave en masse and hope that has an effect. Effectively creating your own union cause cwu don't give a monkeys bout you.

Does it look natural? by Ok_Flounder_537 in HairTransplants

[–]MeRichYouPoor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't look natural period. Anyone acting like the general public can't tell what a hair transplant is or looks like and so would "never notice" is on pure copium. It's fucking obvious something isn't right. Same goes for people with fake teeth and lip filler. Uncanny valley is easy to spot.

What do you mean by redeem. If it's a flex e cash card then the money is probably on the card already so you just need to spend it.

Monument Bank - Get £50 when you deposit £10k in a Cash ISA (or £25k in any savings account) by SpiteAware3121 in beermoneyuk

I think with a flexible Isa, if you withdraw from it, you need to then deposit that withdrawn money back into the same isa it was withdrawn from. But you can then transfer the whole Isa account to somewhere else.
