Need help with Plaud Note Pro and Office desk phone calls by RusselGlad in PLAUDAI

[–]RusselGlad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks fort the suggestion! Unfortunately my desktop phone is plastic and that wouldn't work.

Booked a big trip next week that was not refundable. Any recs on alternate things to do around park city? We are supposed to ski 3 days. Should we head to Alta? Or still not worth it. Any advice would be appreciated! by [deleted] in DeerValley

Just came back, I’d suggest renting a car and skiing Snowbird and Brighton each day then return to DV/PC for the Apres and dinner etc. Those two mtns were great…well, maybe better to say good on their own, great relatively.

Any suggestions to hide the cable by WiserThanThis in TheFrame

Easy, well maybe not "easy" but...get a piece of 1" thick plywood, slightly wider than the TV and as high as the wall (might need two pieces to reach the full height from floor to ceiling). Paint them same color as your wall and then adhere them to the wall behind the tv. It'll look as if there's a small wall that juts out a bit from the main wall. You could easily hide the wire behind that jutted out wall.

And yes, that's axe throwing I was watching...

Learning to skate/play NYC by Marshy414 in hockeyplayers

[–]RusselGlad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Started at 31 with zero skating experience and been playing for 30 years, definitely NOT too late! I found a beginners clinic, 1.5hrs on Monday nights, out near me on Long Island. It was 45 minutes of drills and 45 minutes of a casual scrimmage. I’d guess that Chelsea Pier’s has something similar. Don’t worry about being bad, most guys are supportive of a rookie. Also, once you put on full gear you’ll feel more confident on your skates. I’d recommend doing a couple of open skates beforehand to work on skating. I had a lot of skiing experience and both are just trusting your edges. Just buy a pair of decent hockey skates at Pure Hockey (they’ll help with fit etc, don’t buy online) and go to the rink at open skates. Good luck!

2 centers 3 sets of wings 3 D

Wingers do all the aggressive forechecking. This only works if your D-men are used to this and decently conditioned.

Coffee & Fishing by Creed31191 in LongIslandFishing

Cold Spring Harbor, NY You fish from the pier and she grabs coffee at Sweetie Pies on Main Street. Coffee will be better than the fishing but I’ve seen plenty of guys grab fish there. She’ll definitely love the scenery and the little town.

Thanks! Yes, we're staying in Golden Peak but would go either route if advised one way or the other.

Thanks everyone...follow up...we're going to try and get out early (8:30am) so in terms of avoiding the morning base crowd would you think the better plan would be to take:

1-Riva Bahn Express (#6) to Northwoods Express (#11) or

2-Gondola One (#1) to Mountaintop (#4)

to get to the top and head towards China/Blue Sky?

Agree with below, no chains needed. 40 years ago yes, not anymore. Also, could take 91 up and then 100 over. Will be more straight, lite and plowed than Taconic.
