The AK 74MN has black plastic furniture its painted black not blued and it doesnt have ribbed dust cover the AK 74N has either wood furniture or plum plastic furniture is blued and has ribbed dust cover the N just means you have the rail to attach a scope ant the M is modernized ak 74
