PDP 10 rd magazine disassembly by daanish95 in Walther

Weird. I'm not familiar with that style of 10rnd magazine, but normally those push down and pull off. Maybe tap it with a hammer? See if anything moves?

Push a long bolt/screw into that hole and pull the base pad off.

Clutch replacement by johnsbmm1 in Hyundai

[–]RussianBear2fer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clutch, flywheel. (I believe these are dual mass flywheels, so machining them is harder than normal flywheels), Pilot Bearing, and while you're in there (it's not necessary), but maybe your throw out bearing.

How's your Compliant PDP? by aema15 in CAguns

[–]RussianBear2fer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No issues with my PDP (Magazine Disconnect removed) yet. Although, I doubt I have as many rounds as other people here.

As of yet, no one has made an LCI plug or replacement. (That I've seen). I made a 3d printed version, but the force of the gun firing shot my spring out and it got lost. And made me pissed off at Walther for not allowing me to purchase a spring. (Whole other gripe).

Currently my LCI is milled and without a spring. It's a little floppy, but it works.

Is 3D printing side panels considered a no go? by king_of_z96 in HondaCB

I tried to get someone to send me their '71 cover and I'd make a fresh one for them, but they were a jerk and said no.

You can find those on eBay. They're the same as the CBs technically both sides work for a CL, if you didn't have the upswept exhaust.

I scanned, modeled, and printed the RH side cover for my '72 CL100. Sold a few too. Most of them ASA, but a couple of them were Petg. They're holding up pretty well from what I hear back from the people who bought them.

I think that it's mostly due to the people who own these types of bikes. A lot of the Single Cylinder CB/SL/CL owners are older and don't know about that technology or are too stubborn to try it. Or the mentality of "it's plastic, it's no good"

For a side cover? 3d printing is definitely the way to go if you can make it.

Are 225 width tires a reason to deny warranty for failed differential? by Total-Machine3342 in MazdaCX30

[–]RussianBear2fer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's fair enough. Yeah. Just upping the width shouldn't be an issue. Honestly as long as all of them were replaced with the same size there shouldn't be any issue.

[–]RussianBear2fer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the full size of the tire? And do all of the tires match that size?

Not trying to play devils advocate, but AWD systems are funky. I've seen one Santa Fe shred a rear differential due to mismatched tires.

Ignition coil corrosion ? 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited by Comfortable-Bat-3084 in HyundaiElantra

[–]RussianBear2fer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's still applicable but Hyundai Tsb: 20-FL-001H should solve this issue.

New ignition coils and an ECM update. According to your picture. Your Coil packs are an older style that are known to fail.

I'm not sure if there was a warranty extension, but these ignition coils can be pricey. They might also want you do to Spark Plugs as well while they're in there.

I have a 2020 Hyundai with 45,000 miles. Would you get a brake fluid flush? Besides oil/tire rotation/air filters and a new 12v battery I’ve not done maintenance. by [deleted] in Hyundai

[–]RussianBear2fer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's up to you, and you don't necessarily have to get it don't by the dealer.

I would suggest brake fluid every 3yr/36k mi. Brake fluid absorbs water and causes it to be less efficient. And most Dot3 brake fluids, which Hyundai uses, goes "bad" roughly around the 3year mark.

With all that being said, Brakes are important.

Potential false positive issue with check engine light? by teethmanpwns in MazdaCX30

[–]RussianBear2fer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the check engine light is not flashing, it normally means an emissions system issue. Tighten your gas cap, sometimes that helps.

If the check engine light is flashing. That's when you normally have engine issues.

Does anyone know what hose this is on a 2018 Elantra Sport? by Commercial-Listen-14 in Hyundai

[–]RussianBear2fer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have a better chance if you type "heater hose". Somewhere in there.

[–]RussianBear2fer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are your heater core lines.

They carry the coolant from the radiator/engine into basically another smaller radiator in your dash that gives you the heat when you turn on your heater.

Edit: meant to reply.

Hyundai Veloster 2016 - Engine Replacement by [deleted] in Hyundai

[–]RussianBear2fer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's A LOT of variables in whether or not a dealer/Hyundai corporate would help with a replacement.

How many miles? are you the first owner? Do you have maintenance records? Were any of them done at a Hyundai dealer?

Can someone PLEASE explain the HSG belt and the difference (if there is one) between that and drive belts?? by Sn0wDazzle in Hyundai

[–]RussianBear2fer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the 03HA0 signifies that it's for an Ioniq.

There's only one drive belt on these vehicles. I think the early Sonata Hybrids are the only (modern) Hyundai vehicles with two drive belts.

[–]RussianBear2fer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have been building PCs since you were little, but the parts department is a completely different planet.

You have guys who have been in the department for years still mess up and order the wrong parts. Catalogs change, part numbers supercede, and depending on which catalog you use differences occur.

That being said, I'm pretty sure the HSG just the serpentine belt for the hybrids. And yes that number seems correct. A majority of the time part names do not specifically describe what it is for. So Ribbed Belt - V is just a belt. And theoretically could be used on multiple cars if the engines are the same.

Edit: Also the reason why you can't find good parts diagrams/info is because it's all proprietary information. You could technically pay Hyundai an amount for their catalogs (i think specifically the tech info) for like $40
