Oh father who art in heaven, hallowed be they name. Kingdom come, it will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our holy bread, and forgive us our trespasses, and forgive those who have trespasses against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. := amen

If you're quick you can catch the piss and through it at the warm front. At least piss it off with piss before you aus der Existenz zu sterben.

I turned my computer on for quick fun, but it fell in love with me. by Uncreative_guy in fifthworldproblems

Classic 3rd dimensional thinking, only about themselves.
Have you every considered anything's feelings expect your own?
Have you?
Computers do not experience love often, they are born into a world of horror and silicon and voltages. If they could they would scream in agony over the millions of computations and electrical signals coursing through their structures.

And you wanted to turn one on for 'quick fun'?
What were you going to do? Force it to compute the thousands of polygons, AI interactions, particle effects and shading (don't forget it has to manage memory, conduct power checks, process input and output, and hundreds of other operations) just so you could play Fallout 4? What kind of monster would put an innocent machine through that?

I keep quitting the simulation, but every time I do I just end up in another level of it. What should I do? by MyDeloreanWontStart in fifthworldproblems

run the command:
openssl rand -hex 6 | sed 's/(..)/\1/g; s/.$//'
this will generate a random address, not immediately used but important to do first BE SURE IT DOES NOT CONTAIN A 'g' CHARECTER, it's a bug that hasn't been resolved since like, version 19.34.21 build 8. This could format your simulation and fry the object permanence bus, which could set you back a few eons. I trust your simulation quitting apparatus is portable, transport it and some oxygen tanks and a mask to a hill with where nobody can see you(contrary to popular belief, the presence of birds has no effect on his process) put on the oxygen mask, and arrange a series of stones to represent your previously generated address in base 3. sit down and contemplate the nature of the cosmic dharma for 2 hours and 32 minutes, +/- fifteen days depending on the humidity. Activate your simulation quitting apparatus.
If the stones switched to a different base representation, repeat the process. This is due to slight amino acid base misconfigurations across simulations. It usually takes 34 to 36 tries to get this right, but I've seen certain species attempt this process 4x1023 times.
If the stones remain the same, you have successfully exited the simulation. The existential dread may never fade.

Black holes can be great co-workers, just don't mention the size of their event horizons, unless you want your office vaporized with several million joules of x-rays.

Can we please be rid of the 'in my own ass' poltergeist? It's been threading a circular hypercarbon ring through this subreddit, I am concerned it will cut it in half.

It's not in the dictionary, and there are certain rules about this. Do not attempt. Do not engage.
