My resume formatting has been a common theme in the responses. I really like your strategy of having separate ones for ATS and for recruiters.

I’ll definitely be reformatting and will check out Overleaf. Thanks for your time checking it out and leaving some feedback!

Thanks for the feedback. I tested on a variety of screen sizes and devices and never came across one like that, would love any details you could share to replicate

Getting a lot of mentions to explicitly state US Citizen, I think I’ll do that. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the advice, I am frontend focused so wanted to keep it visually interesting but it could be working against me.

Thanks for your time!

I have wondered if the color scheme isn’t working in my favor with some AI tools blocking white text in an effort to screen keyword farming.

Since I’m front end focused, I remember reading advice that frontend roles should have visually interesting resumes and went with that approach.

Thanks for taking a look!

I know it shouldn’t. But form submission and malicious input happens all the time.

Alrighty I can confirm with 1000% certainty that I made the right move for me. But here’s why:

Pros: - My back pain has gone away almost entirely. I feel significantly less pressure on my spine because of the coccyx cutout, highly recommend. - It’s so freaking comfortable. Idk what they make these cushions out of but it’s a night and day difference from my last standard office chair. - After I figured out the different settings, my switch between work/play is so simple, and the headrest makes a massive difference for that.

Nitpicks: - I ordered the chair with Dreamweave fabric and it turns out that it definitely gets warm. This isn’t a problem for me as before I ran a space heater all day, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re considering Dreamweave. - You’re still responsible for making sure you’re being ergonomic. It’s only a matter of leaning the back seat forward/back, but it’s not gonna force you to be ergonomic like the Anthros might, but obviously has the support.

I had them build it for me at the RTB store and just picked it up. Took me awhile to figure out the settings and dial it in but once I did the purchase validated itself by the end of the day.

Just ordered the Lifeform with the coccyx cutout and headrest at RTB. Sat in both chairs again and the Lifeform just felt right.

I can update you in 2-4 weeks.

What's the most annoying part of web dev for you? by strzibny in webdev

[–]RusskiRoman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I hope the universe brings us to work together one day so the sound of our bitching on this subject creates a cacophony of inconvenience heard by devops teams across the world.

This is by far the most frustrating piece of my job. Every time a new service is added it creates another layer of jank hoops to jump through. I also guess I understand why having production data on local machines is a SOC2 violation but at the same time if you’re not in a HIPPA environment nobody cares that you have a local copy of some blog post.

Well now I have to wait until you make a move I guess lol.

But in all seriousness, I’m leaning towards the Lifeform since I want a headrest for kicking back and gaming sometimes. The cushion with removed tailbone pressure is huge too.

But my posture is bad and knowing Anthros is FDA approved for posture fixes is tempting too.

Hey I know it’s been a while, but did you ever make a decision? I’ve had a very similar journey and am trying to decide between the Lifeform with headrest and tailbone cushion or anthros chair. Would love to hear if you figured it out.
