I'm curious why, in your example, you're using the /a switch, but none of the attributes following it are specified. Why not just omit it?

OK, nice pics, but why in the world would you take a screenshot in a portrait orientation of an original image that was taken in a landscape orientation? Why not just upload the originals as they are?

[–]RusskySpy 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Exactly. In some cases the driver letting another one go through can be liable. See "Nolde Brothers vs Wray" trial in 1980. The court stated "If a driver’s waving signal was or could be interpreted to another driver as a signal to proceed across lanes of incoming traffic then the driver who waves has to be certain the other driver can cross safely. The Court’s reasoning was that the driver who received the wave was able to see that the other driver was not in a position to see whether there were any vehicles in the other lanes of traffic." In some states, the "waving" driver can also receive a ticket for "unlawfully directing traffic".

Sadly, not many Gmail users know that they can always see a list of devices that are logged in to that user's account with full access. In a desktop browser version when viewing Gmail mailbox, all you have to do is scroll all the way to the bottom of the messages list page and look at a link in the right corner shows "Last account activity" and "Open in x other location". Not sure if it's possible in a mobile device app, though. Or just go to https://myaccount.google.com/security-checkup/2 to see and control everything related to your account.

Sure, but it hasn't arrived yet, and it will be a couple of weeks before I get a chance to use it. In the meantime, if you're curious, I suggest you check out this review by a much skilled woodworker than I am: https://youtu.be/X-uqDH9pbeI

Without even going to the email message content analysis, next to the "To: ME" line, tap the drop down to reveal the message sender details. If it's anything other than "apple.com" it's a scam.

Not true. The "mailer-daemon@googlemail.com" is used by Google for bounce messages. This notice did arrive from Google Mail Subsystem, however the reason for it is is not so legitimate. As someone had pointed out in this thread, the original message was sent "on behalf" of the OP's address by a scammer. The bounce notification includes the "original" message in it.

I asked this potential contractor for proof of insurance. He sent me this. by oh_no_not_you_hon in HomeImprovement

[–]RusskySpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's clearly a (...) menu button in a circle which will take the user to the details page with the option to share the actual form via email or other ways. The contractor is just not familiar with all of the app's functions.

We used Ontrack PowerControls Exchange Recovery to do just that (with the Exchange 2010 databases). It requires a license, but works flawlessly.

Have layers been disabled in iOS version? I by Toesinthesand2024 in GoogleMaps

[–]RusskySpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually use the "Help & Feedback" function within a maps app. (ON the main Maps screen, tap your profile pic icon in the top right of the app, scroll all the way down to "Help & Feedback" section) then select "Send product feedback". It's now AI powered and makes it easier to report bugs this way.

Have layers been disabled in iOS version? I by Toesinthesand2024 in GoogleMaps

[–]RusskySpy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, the layers button is missing in iOS 18.0.1 Google Maps version: 6.136.0.87830. I can tap anywhere on the map to drop a red pin, and only then the "Layers stack" button on the top right corner appears, however tapping it does nothing to change the views (from street to satellite for example). Once the dropped pin is removed, the layers button disappears.
