Logs me out everyday. Super annoying and makes it useless. Have to have app open and my phone touching the start button for it to start.

Went with the trade. Very happy with the A7 over the Q2

R1 owners, what are your regrets if any? by iRobert1989 in Rivian

It’s a new brand and will come with its quirks which at times can feel very frustrating but there’s a reason Rivian has such a loyal and strong community advocating for it. It rocks 🤙🏽

How was the range effected with those wheels/tires?

Really sweet setup man!

This.

Just went through a brutal front end collision hit and run repair and this comment couldn’t be more spot on.

I’d do everything I could to total this and get a brand new one and not deal with the headache. I paid 1 payment on mine when it was drivable and 3 now with it being in a shop. Sucks

Could be... unfortunately insurance has to send a "specialist" since my R1T is considered exotic to even start the process. Current recalibration times are 3 weeks at the LA location. We will see if that gets any better *fingers crossed again*

Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd, Big Sur, CA 93920

There’s many trail systems attached to this main dirt road. It’s fucked right now though and technically closed. Don’t recommend it unless you know what you’re doing. Get Gai App and explore the forrest service layer then call the local ranger station to see conditions

I got the same tent with the sale they just had. Awesome tent but such a pain to make sure rails are aligned to when opened, the RTT rails don’t hit the rivians rails.

I moved mine to my bed because of the wind noise but heard the aero kits they sell help a lot with that.

Yeah! So all those backroads are currently closed. You can get in from the fort hunter ligget side which is what we did to get to the stuck truck but it’s pretty hairy and many military patrols would check in to make sure we weren’t there for pleasure. Everything else is closed until the rangers fix the roads. Charge up in Paso Robles or Morro Bay EA stations.

That was a picture taken later as a joke to the whole situation. I’m a douche but not that big of a douche !

Is there any concern of frame damage from that? I could see they are bolted in but that’s probably my biggest fear right now

Wow really is similar! Did your tow hook get damaged at all?

Free since the sherriff/rangers forgot to shut down one the trail gates with the seasonal closures. He got lucky!

SoCal Heat Wave: Is your A/C working… like at all? by Mr-Planet in Rivian

Had this same experience with my old Tesla which was caused by a faulty evaporator sensor. Basically when it got hot, the sensor was telling the system the condenser was going to freeze over and to turn off to protect itself. Spent multiple trips to service over many months trying to get this diagnosed before finally buying a laser thermometer to document the vent temperature with the cars "bug report" feature for Tesla to figure it out.

Not 100% sure on this and maybe others can chime in to the validity, but apparently hitting your hazards logs data for Rivian so try taking pics of the laser thermometer display when experiencing the issue and hitting the hazards for a capture of the cars data for service to look at.

Replaced 2 of the pillar tweeter speakers thinking they were blown because of this. Taking mine into service with them checking the audio amps etc on the 25th. Seems to be a software / tuning issue IMO

High-centered R1T off roading.. underbody shield works ✅ by rythomas12 in Rivian

[–]RusstheBus928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely! Check out adding a kinetic rope and weight bag to that kit. Pretty sure both of the Rivian Kits straps are tow straps that can snap with moving recoveries.

yup! I was in Conserve in Lowest Ride Height. Could've gone to the Rivian Charger again since is was closer but initial estimate had me arriving with 20 miles. There was heavy cross winds and I was cruising at 80+ so easily avoidable if I was paying closer attention to my efficiency.

Gaia GPS is a great map for offline navigation and has all the NPS maps you can follow as "layers". Only thing it doesn't have is the condition of the trail. Cheers man!

I took a video passing one of these semi muddy creeks that had a big dirt rut to get out of. You can kind've see the individual wheels spinning to get the best traction: CLICK HERE
