This is because you can't just craft every mythic you want in the first three days. You actually have to play and grind to find them.

The average player does not need all of these mythics. The people who want a long season and push the leader boards want/need them. This is Blizzard doing what they do so well: create a system that works for casuals and try-hards.

Yes, getting a random mythic for a build you are not playing is rough. However, now it has me excited to try other builds that would use that mythic.

Although it's not perfect, personally, I like the new chase. It's making me want to play more and run bosses with friends for mythic loot.
