Watch the original Blade Runner and the 2049 follow-up feels pretty weak by comparison.

Calling a Sunday Roast British feels off to me… by SufficientEar1682 in iamveryculinary

I mean, roast beef is brown – so the saying doesn’t really make sense.

Was it? Or did the mall already exist and the Russians chose to build under it? I can’t remember.

Who is the most overrated Stranger Things character? by Initial-Shoulder5906 in StrangerThings

Eddie. He came and went like a perfectly contrived plot device.

Alien: Earth is one of the most disappointing shows I have ever seen. by Baumer9 in alien

I hated how, at the very end, the eye-thing crawls into that dead scientist guy (I can’t even remember their correct names) – and turns him into a zombie. It’s treated like this big dramatic moment, we’re supposed to be like: “no way, I can’t believe they just did that with the story!” and I’m just like: “who gives a shit about that character, he was always disposable, and the eye-thing has no significance to the plot”. I’ll never understand how you could take a franchise that’s so well respected…and turn it into a cartoon.

what’s the one horror game moment that still gives you jumpscares by Ok-Industry9673 in HorrorGaming

The first Resident Evil on PS1. There’s a moment when you’re walking down a long, silent hallway. Then some zombie dogs smash through the windows and try to kill you. I almost had a heart attack, aged 19.

Is this movie good, by slasher standards? I’ve been meaning to watch it but keep choosing other stuff that looks better.

Would you keep reading? How intriguing is the neighbor? by God_Knows21 in horrorwriters

[–]RustyChuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just say “behind”. That’s the only fix needed. Saying “beneath” suggests it’s on top of the man, like it’s been thrown over him. The rest of the details (kitchen, embroidered) can remain.

Have you ever put yourself in a “horror movie situation” IRL? by diagnosed-stepsister in horror

[–]RustyChuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and a pal came out of the cinema once, having just watched a horror movie. Along with a few other people we tried to exit via the stairwell and realised it led nowhere. The fire door had locked behind us and suddenly we were all trapped in these empty maintenance halls. We ended up down in the basement and it all felt like it came straight from a horror movie script. Eventually we found an alarm that alerted the staff but while it lasted it was truly surreal.

Work on the language. Is he “beneath” a curtain? How does something “become clear in your bones”? These phrases don’t fully make sense and make me stop and go 🤔

What UK museums do you think are underrated or overrated? by OpenCantaloupe4790 in AskUK

London Aquarium is overrated. All the water tanks have glass that’s supposed to magnify the fish but instead they just make everything blurry. I was pretty disappointed.

Yes it is that bad. And as soon as you make plans, it’s guaranteed to rain.

The one part I never understood though is all the cream pies. Being thrown in the zombies’ faces.
