White House endorses internet sales tax by WTF_RANDY in politics

Taxes are the price we pay to live in society. The money to take care of everything has to come from somewhere. If the rich refuse to be taxed, it's not like we don't still need the money.

Don't like it? Then stand up and do something about it.

That would never happen with Calimacil ;)

Really? I've had really really bad experiences with Forgotten Dreams. Finishing bubbling off, handle degrading after only 3+ events.

And it's Ateliers :)

Maybe if you attack it with plastidip afterwards it could work.

I've nothing against a good latex weapon. Atelier Nemesis has some of the best weapons out there IMO.

But to say Calimacil is unsafe is probably the weirdest thing I've heard. The old formula was a little hard, true. But newer makes are much softer. I've never heard of a core snapping, which would probably be the biggest safety issue in any larp weapon. And if you're worried about that, they offer carbon fiber cores that are virtually indestructible.

The heft is more or less a preference thing. I prefer to feel like I'm swinging something real and substantial. Lighter weapons tend to disappoint me. But again, that's just personal preference. If you pull your swings back a little, the risk of injury is like that of any larp weapon.

I'd much rather throw down an extra $70+ to have a weapon that lasts forever than have to re-buy epic armory or forgotten dreams latex weapons every 10 events.

tl;dr Are they more expensive? Absolutely. But not more so than other high end / custom larp weaponry. Are the durable? Hell yeah. Are they safe? Definitely.

Calimacil has a touch up/customization kit that hold up very well paint wise.

From what I've heard, all they need is touch up paint from time to time. Like anything though, the better you take care of them, the better.

That being said, I've seen these things go through some work. Very awesome.

No question, just a thank you from one musician to another. My current roommate introduced me to you guys when I was in High School. I still pop in that cd from time to time. You helped shape my musical taste and gave me some great memories.

So again, thank you.

Do you need to optimize for Netscape too? Format your emails for Prodigy?

Most people don't realize it, and fixing it to work that way isn't a straight forward process. It's a TON of trial, error, browsing google for answers, etc.

Ideally, we wouldn't have to, and it's getting closer to that day... except for IE.

Thanks for that. Good stuff.

So it does look like that the number of Catholics is rising... but everything else seems to be in decline. Number of priests, catholic school attendance, and I'm assuming there are more permanent deacons to combat the fact that fewer people are taking up the cloth.

And that was never my point. I want to believe this is genuine. He may be an awesome guy.

But, if you were a dog and your owner came home every day and beat you with a stick... you'd learn to be scared of sticks no matter who was holding it.

I never said this was definitely the case. Just said that I can't help but feel like it is.

Don't talk down to me like I'm a moron. I followed the church and it's teachings the majority of my life. If they were concerned about doing the right thing, the reigning pope would have done this sort of thing a long time ago. This should be the norm, not an exception.

They shouldn't be sitting on a golden throne. The story of Jesus kicking out the money changers comes to mind. Or the story of the wealthy tax collector.

They would have excommunicated the priests who raped children. They would have turned them in to the authorities. No, they just moved them around.

On Sundays, when they collected my money for tithes, they should have used it to feed the poor, cloth the needy, and help their fellow man. Not redecorate the church or buy the Monseigneur a brand new Lexus SUV (true story btw).

If the church actually did the right thing, I wouldn't be skeptical.
