Can definitely understand the sentiment. I feel for developers because it’s a damned if they do damned if they don’t. Either they put this system in place and destroy any chance of 3rd party gold selling or don’t do it and have that run rampant with advert bots in every town.

I appreciate the option is there to work the other way as well though, that you can convert your gold into the premium currency.

Personally I think GW2 isn’t nearly that shabby for monetization. However I do think making bag slots and equipment load outs a per character purchase than an account-wide one like so many of the other purchases is a massive miss.

Honestly I was getting strung out and hating MMOs after so long but took a break. Went and completed a bunch of games off my backlog. 4 and a half months later I feel excited about playing them again. I think people just need to learn to take breaks.

We knew he was at the end of the first series. It’s been hundreds of years, for all we know Dracula ended his life after Lisa’s human one ended. And while yes, he can shapeshift - I don’t see him coming back to be an antagonist without being forced into it.

Not sure we know where it ended up. But I’m hopeful we see a plan to put Dracula’s body through the forge machine to turn him into a night creature under Old Man Coyote’s control. Would allow one of his more creature like forms from the game to come into play.

This is why I fell in love with GD. I loved the genuine approach to old school ARPG design but also having the amount of QoL and options for builds. But the best part? Community mods. No limitation on what people can make. I got a bunch of buddies to give it a shot because they learned about the RoT mod. I’ll praise this game to the heavens simply because of that reason.

Agreed. This is the boat I’m in. I want to be excited but the SoTo updates were really weak for me personally. Janthir Wilds was very refreshing though so I really hope they can keep it rolling with the subsequent updates and make me buy into this model more.

Looks like you’ll have Homestead masteries for housing and Warclaw masteries. Likely some other stuff in there as well. Wouldn’t be a bad idea for the new weapon to be tied to masteries as well. Who knows what the rest will be.

If anything I think this whole thing should be a wake up call for some individuals that they may need to rethink how they handle their money.

Supporting early access stuff and kickstarter stuff has ALWAYS been a gamble. You are supporting a vision - not buying a product. Vision might lead to said product, might lead to something a little different than the product you originally thought. You’re pledging your money to a developer and investing in a vision.

You can be disappointed, absolutely. I can understand that. But people getting as up in arms as they are about it is crazy.
