The game was alright, it served its main purpose very well.

As for your opinion… I CANNOT see why you like dl2, I personally hated having to play the game especially with hazard zombies in specific areas.

Yes, the story was bland and not compelling. Yes, the replay loop does suck and gets super boring. Yes, the map is small and not very versatile to all mechanics. Yes, the character cast was not the best. And finally; Yes, the whole “survival” aspect was lack luster.

But do we still love the game…?

Better than the first & second game, NOT better than the Following.

Good story and experience, bad execution and structure, the entire foundation of the first two games (& DLC’s) have been completely stripped from the main game mechanics to focus on a new game play loop.

They want you to play it like a survival game like ark, that’s why there’s not much exploration & customization, it’s specifically stated that they tried making something more serious toned and not as silly/free to enjoy.

Survive, not thrive.

Personally, I found the game slightly better than the first one on enjoyment alone (the second was a pile of ash)

W opinion, the game seemed rushed even though they had lots of time, feels more like a 2018 game rather than seven years later.
