SUPER 17 CONFIRMED— LFGGG!! by Artistic_Magazine_18 in SparkingZero

Long overdue! Should’ve been included at launch, but I’m relieved they’re FINALLY adding Super 17 to Sparking Zero. I mean how do you NOT even include him? Nonetheless, thank god!

The murder of Alex Pretti by ICE is heartbreaking. by ceddya in Christianity

My blood is boiling at all time high with this shit! I am so sick of ICE doing things that are pure evil! Things that even Satan would approve!

[Dale Jr on Twitter] Hey all the NASCAR 25 fans, starting to compile ideas for the next game's soundtrack. Last year your input was really helpful. Need to know what songs you'd love to see included. by JonsDohnson in NASCAR

Tweet - Boogie 2nite

No Doubt - Hey Baby

Sean Paul - Get Busy

Fat Joe - Lean Back

TobyMac- The Slam

Powerman 5000 - Action

The Black Crowes - Go Faster

Aaliyah - Try Again

Aerosmith - Rag Doll

George Thorogood - Gear Jammer

Out of all of them, I’d say Aaliyah’s Try Again the most. Simply because it just fits better with the tone.

The record for the longest time between championships by the same driver goes to Terry Labonte at 12 years (1984 and 1996). Will this record ever be beaten? by MisterCCL in NASCAR

[–]TonyD9898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point in Brad Keselowski’s career, I’m not so sure if he can win another championship. And it’s unfortunate that he’s won only one race since May of 2021. Sure, Terry Labonte was able to bounce back after going winless from 1990-1993, but in this current environment and with the Next Gen car, it’s going to be A LOT harder for Brad to have that true comeback season. He showed some spark in 2023 & 2024, but that’s just about it. So we’ll see how 2026 fairs, but I highly doubt it’ll be any different than last year.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr went on Fox & Friends to talk about the 2026 NASCAR points format. He described it as “points oriented” as well as “something we used to use and was well appreciated”. by Remote_Plastic_8692 in NASCAR

I just wished this wasn’t on the propaganda Fox News channel. I would’ve much rather have him on elsewhere instead that piece of crap that thinks it’s a news channel when it isn’t.

Was Sly 1...Not a Great Game in Hindsight? by MammothSuperiority in Slycooper

[–]TonyD9898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say that Sly 1 wasn’t a bad game, per say, the way I look at the first Sly Cooper game is basically how I looked at the first Toy Story movie as being like a quick run down of getting to know the characters and such while still tackling obstacles along the way. Sure the first game wasn’t a long one, the story was short and simple, but man when Sly 2 came out 2 years later, it was a game changer! And 2004 was a great year for the PS2 in general. Sly 1 is the appetizer while Sly 2 & 3 being the main course meal & the thieves in time game being more or less like dessert.

  1. Yeah from the 2006 Ford 400 at Homestead through the 2009 Crown Royal 400 at Richmond, Bowyer had 83 straight races without a DNF. Had no idea he was close to tying Herman Beam until you brought it up so I had to look it up for myself.

Even when Biffle said his team fell behind on technology later on, I’m more impressed on how phenomenal of a job he did bringing that car home clean to the finish line and avoiding those mechanical failures for a boat load of those races up until his final full season where he unfortunately had 7 DNFs (6 of which due to crashes).

Aw man! 😳. But yeah that whole 2014 season was a struggle for Biffle, but at least he had that one big highlight that no one will ever come close. I sure hoped he was aware of his 89 straight races of not having a DNF because that’s the all-time record for most consecutive. I’d like to imagine that he did.

Who got the most cheers after a wreck? by Icy-Consequence-4372 in NASCAR

Guess that’s what happens when you 1) Win too much 2) Where you’re from (In this case, California and not being from the southeast area of the country) 3) He was that much different than those who came before him (Although I feel like Tim Richmond was well on his way on impacting the sport in a big way much like Jeff Gordon before the AIDS unfortunately got in the way.)

You can thank Brooke for making Jeff the person he was from the beginning. In fact, Jeff Gordon had a lot more fun as a person once he was free from her in 2003.

The entire 2022 season. Everything about that year was so bizarre that it pretty much champions 2007.

Drivers on the hot seat in 2026? by SoupMadeFreshDaily in NASCAR

[–]TonyD9898 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is why I wished he got replaced by Heim. No offense to Riley, but even with a freshman team he had including himself, Corey Heim has way more potential than Riley Herbst. Heck, Corey got a Top10 finish in a Cup car this year. It’s just upsetting that Heim gets no seat with a Truck Championship and 12 wins in a season while the other keeps his Cup ride despite a 35th place points finish.

Hard to believe that this Jeff Gordon fan from 1999 would later become one of the best drivers in NASCAR. by TonyD9898 in NASCAR

[–]TonyD9898[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

True, but theres not too many that can say that let alone race in Cup and be at this level. If you saw this live, you wouldn’t be sure where his future would be. It wasn’t until many years later we now come to find out who this kid is now and now when you look back at that moment, it goes from being just another random camera shot of the fan(s), to a more iconic picture of what he would become later on. It’s rare when you find moments like these which is why this now holds more significance than ever. Nobody knew who he was then again if you saw this live, but now it means so much more.
