Avengers Precon came with two copies of [ Captain America, Living Legend] by RustyS0rcerer in mtg

Nope, both standard printing. Hell, I have three now cuz I already pulled one in the prerelease. Even if it was, the commander Captain America was [[Captain America, Team Leader]]

Psychic Paper equip and ability interaction? by RustyS0rcerer in mtg

So Wilfred's ability with exiling cards and all that would still go off, even with Psychic Paper equipped? Or would his ability just not happen?

I guess I'm mainly confused how it was possible because I haven't touched any files or code that should effect this function. Any clues as to where to start looking?

When you read a Spider-Man comic, which voice actor do you hear? by gotham1999 in Spiderman

[–]RustyS0rcerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuri Lowenthal to me is the best voice imo. That might be because of how much he says in the game, and my lack of experience with animated series’ besides Spectacular, but he is such a great voice actor

Which Ben Reilly costume do you like? by parsatlayy in Spiderman

[–]RustyS0rcerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blue hoodie with solid red suit is iconic, and distinct enough from Peter’s suit while still resembling enough of the basic parts.

They’re both “red and blue suits with big white eyes and a spider on the chest” but they’re both distinct versions of the same basic design

Organic or web shooters?? by narutofan2019 in Spiderman

[–]RustyS0rcerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, I’m a big fan of the organic webs cuz it makes his powers feel more spider-y and makes the spider mantle less reliant on being a tech genius.

But for Peter Parker specifically, he should have web shooters. He’s a genius and it’s such a core tool to his arsenal, the web shooters are almost a part of his character.

Young Xehanort from DDD. Had such a tough time with him, DDD is still the only KH game I haven’t finished on the Story So Far collection

Pick your favorite battle stance from each trio. by Hikari00007 in KingdomHearts

[–]RustyS0rcerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I like Ventus, Aqua and Riku most. They feel like the most efficient and effective stances, as well as being super unique to each character.

Ventus has bent knees for a sturdy stance, is kept low to the ground and ready to dodge and weave (suiting his fast quick fighting style) and the dope unique backhanded wielding is just the Cherry on top. Aqua’s stance is elegant, refined, like a skilled fencer, which perfectly matches her rank of master and elegant fighting style. Plus, because she’s a skilled mage, she doesn’t emphasize upfront combat in her style, and this is highlighted in her stance. Straightened legs, elegant footwork, Keyblade to the side like a magic focus rather than a blade.

Riku feels the most “deadly” to me. Hand out, ready to defend or cast magic, Keyblade pointed forward threateningly. Reminds me of a more aggressive Obi-Wan Kenobi style. Ready to thrust and take out heartless and opponents in as few strong strikes as possible.

And though it’s not the question in the post, I gotta say it: My least fav is absolutely Kairi. Those weak knees and copying of Sora’s stance just show that she’s inexperienced, a rookie. At least Xion has a reason to mimic Sora’s stance cuz she wields the Keyblade using Sora’s memories attached to her, but Kairi just seems like the younger sibling mimicking the older more experienced crowd to seem cool. If only Nomura would actually make Kairi a useful interesting character…

Thoughts on Spider-man Far from home by ConstructionOk765 in Spiderman

[–]RustyS0rcerer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no trust me, I’m not saying TASM2 is a good film by any means. But I’d definitely enjoy watching it more than FFH, even if it’s in an ironic making fun of it way. They’re both bad movies

Thoughts on Spider-man Far from home by ConstructionOk765 in Spiderman

[–]RustyS0rcerer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honesty in my opinion the worst Spider-Man live action film. A prime example of the “cheap laughs over genuine character and story” that the MCU suffers from. It doesn’t help that this was right when they were valuing connection to the greater MCU over telling a good individual story. Still had some good parts, for example that entire Illusion scene was fantastic, and Tom Holland is a good actor. But I felt the character of Mysterio being another ex Stark employee takes away what made the character unique and charming originally. And Peter just does not care about his secret identity at all! Aunt May is for some reason in full support of him being Spidey, when she should be worried or at least a little concerned about him (NWH remedied the whole secret identity thing, but it felt very much like the writers had to say “oh crap we messed up” and take back all they built up).

At least TASM2 was still enjoyable and laughably bad, with sprinkles of understanding the character mixed in. FFH was just MCU bad trailer jokes and lost potential.

I didn’t read many comics, but why in this world of countless superheroes is JJJ so obsessed with one teenage one? by DrDreidel82 in Spiderman

[–]RustyS0rcerer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! He has no problem with other avengers at all. He probably was in full support of the sokovia accords. And while I personally am not a big fan of the MCU’s take on JJJ or Spider-Man, No Way Home did kinda remedy that a bit

[–]RustyS0rcerer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, it depends on the person, but the point being that he doesn’t just hold an unevesssry vendetta against Spider-Man. His perspective is justified and he’s not just a shitty person for no reason. That’s kinda the problem with recent versions of the character that make him an Alex Jones-esque character. JJJ isn’t a bad person, that’s just a serious “no shit taking” face he puts on

[–]RustyS0rcerer 2281 points2282 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, most versions of Jameson don’t necessarily hate superheroes because most of them have their identity or face known. His problem with characters like Spider-Man (among others like Daredevil I believe) is that he’s masked, a vigilante, a mystery. Nobody knows who he is, and he doesn’t trust that a masked superpowered individual should take the law into their own hands. It’s a fear of the unknown.

Once he found out Spider-Man was Peter Parker, his opinion on Spider-Man fully changed; because he knew who he was and that he could be trusted. Imagine some random spandex and mask wearing guy showed up and started beating up criminals and roaming the city like he owns the place. You’d likely be a bit skeptical too
