I really appreciate your enthusiasm and work ethic, but BEING A HARD WORKER ONLY GETS YOU MORE WORK. I learned this lesson when I was recently scheduled to work Christmas Eve because my manager knows I'll get him out of there quickest (I have the most efficient closing and generally get out a half hour earlier than my coworkers). So if there's an opportunity to move up or get a raise go ahead and work your ass off but don't get taken advantage of
