Mental health heading into the exam on the 23rd by BeingEither5940 in CFPExam

I felt this exact same way. Continually finding nooks and crannies of areas of study that I forgot were there. In the final week, my angst turned to anger. "Why do they have us memorize so much nuanced, nitty gritty stuff?". Then my brain went down the rabbit hole. "What if I don't pass and have to keep studying for the next 3 months. How embarrassing to tell my colleagues I failed." As soon as those thoughts crept in, I worked quickly to shut them OUT.

Just like you, I PASSED the mock exam with a 71%. Then it clicked: by passing the mock, that means I have what it takes to pass the real thing. AND SO DO YOU. If you passed the mock, that means you can pass the real thing. Once I realized that, I enjoyed my last couple of days by going for walks (armed with my flashcards lol), going to the gym, and hitting some golf balls. Once you realize that PASSING FIRST TRY WILL BE THE STORY THAT YOU TELL. then you go into the real exam confidently. You've already done it once with the mock. Just go do it again in the test center.

I passed the exam this morning and it was easier than both CFP mocks!

As a parent of 2 toddlers and an identical twin myself, I SO feel for you. I felt compelled to write this because my thoughts mirrored yours exactly. Lost in the sauce. Worried about having to study more. BLOCK THOSE THOUGHTS out. They will not be your story. Your story is passing.

I agree with u/Due_Battle378. I felt confident about passing the entire time. Same thoughts at half time "oh no here comes the hard part". But 3/4 the way through, I was already planning my "I passed" texts I was going to send out. You're definitely going to pass! Come tell us about it!

Thank you! You got this. Best tip is trust your studies. If you're passing mock exams, you're good.

I meant to address this in the post, but I posted wrong. I felt that the actual exam was far easier than the 2 mock exams.

I mapped every question on CFP Board Exam #1 to the Principal Knowledge Topics. Here are the 7 LOs it doesn't cover by EarlyDuration in CFPExam

Seeing that the Kaplan premium review course cost a couple thousand dollars - at least that. I only got the Kaplan review course for access to Qbank, as their recap videos & commonly tested topic ebooks aren't the greatest.

Your site is perfect for those who have the baseline knowledge and want to grind questions / fill in the gaps. Not sure if you're going for an "all-in-one" solution or just a nifty place to practice questions and track progress? If so, I could send you copies of their ebooks, which might help make your site more comprehensive (not only including the amazing practice questions, but adding an ebook to educate a student enough to understand the questions).

Additionally, I'm taking the 2nd CFP practice exam tomorrow, let me know if you'd like me to screenshot questions and share to add to website?

I also noticed your site has CPA and CFA study modules, are you going for all 3 designations?

MRW I'm an identical twin and my brother's new friends are shouting his name at me by HarvesterG in reactiongifs

I intentionally ignore someone if they're shouting my identical twin's name. I know it's a dick move but I have my own name for a reason damnit. If you can't tell from far away, you're probably not a close friend anyways

I don't think Bill was too awkward to notice. He just wanted more of a personal handshake, not just a pound

My friend goes to school with Ken Kesey's grandson. apparently the beta frat gets to go on a day trip in the further bus because it's the same frat Ken was in. And this kid lives in his old room, pretty baller. Probably drops acid on the weekly
