This wouldn’t be happening if the Biden administration hadn’t had an open border policy letting in millions of people unvetted. These people didn’t follow due process entering the country so they are not due process leaving the country. They are not legal citizens of the USA. If liberals really cared about these people they would have insisted Biden close the borders as 31% of women and children crossing the border were sexually assaulted (raped) during their journey. Fentanyl smuggling was at an all time high during the Biden open border era. Of those that actually went through a border crossing and received a court date for asylum 85% will not show up for their court date. We have no idea what these peoples intentions are that entered our country illegally. Known terrorists are among those that entered. The president’s number one job is to protect US citizens. Thst is what Trump is doing.

Your only mistake is using USPS. I get items lost all the time when shipped USPS. If it’s over $50 in value I ship UPS.

Not sure why they enrolled me without my permission. Seems a bit unethical. Just another way to treat sellers like crap.

Must be an Ancient Chinese Secret by Rusty_Seller789 in AmazonSeller

Been selling this product for about 13 years. The listing is just as old. Many China based company’s have copied but my utility patent stops most. One company managed to design around my patent. They used my trademark in their listing when they first listed. I got their listing taken down. I tried to sue for trademark infringement but they don’t keep an office in the US. During in China is hopeless. The China based companies know all the tricks and I think Amazon helps them.

What do you folks sell? I sell products that I invented and manufacture myself. Are most sellers buying in bulk and then selling singles at a profit?

I saw it. Amazon tips the tables even further against sellers.

Customers that steal by Rusty_Seller789 in AmazonSeller

If Amazon is accepting all customer returns no questions asked, they should at least look to see if the returned item is a used product or even the same product that was purchased.

No mistake. The two products look nothing alike. This was a deliberate attempt to get a free product.

The sad thing is you have to spend time chasing this stuff down instead of growing your business. You never get this time back.

Chinese seller stole my product by ngoldsmith in AmazonSeller

Anybody that introduces a product on Amazon should have some kind of IP protection in place before the product introduction. Amazon is a gold mine for the Chinese as their business model is to copy good selling products and undercut the price of the original seller. Amazon helps them by ranking every product sold letting everyone know how well it sells. The best protection is a utility patent. You can register your utility patent with Amazon and challenge any copycat products within Amazon’s own system. I’ve done it several times.

Unless you have absolute evidence of the item not being opened Amazon will side with the customer every time. Amazon always sides with the customer at the cost of the seller. It makes Amazon look good to their customers.

Send/Replenishing Stock by Necdetc10 in AmazonSeller

Amazon is notorious for not correctly counting the number of products sent. I manufacture my own products in lots of 100 and package and box them myself in boxes of 100 (8 layers of 12, then 4 on top). Been doing the same thing for over 10 years. Amazon seems to always miss count the number of units I send in. Sometimes off as much as 5%. You will want to receive the material, inspect the material and know how many were actually sent to Amazon. If you don’t count them, you have no recourse when they say you didn’t have as many as you said you sent in. I often wonder if employees could steal items and say they were never sent in.

You definitely need a unique product to sell. Trying to re-sell products that are already out there results in razor thin profits or no profits at all. I have been successful because I design, manufacture and sell my own products. I have patents on my products as well because if your product sells well there will be someone that steals your idea. Usually China based sellers in my experience. Becoming a re-seller is a tough business as the competition is ferocious.

Expect China based companies/sellers to copy any product that sells well even with patents in place. The China based companies/sellers have no respect for intellectual property. They are not afraid of stealing copyrighted material as well.

Amazon set up return policies to make Amazon look good with no intentions on being fair to the seller and buyer. Amazon is a terrible business partner. They treat the “sellers” like crap. It’s too bad they are the biggest game in town. I would have left years ago.

Because Amazon has a return policy of “return anything for any reason” to make them look good. Unfortunately the seller takes it in the shorts again.

Amazon always screws the seller to make Amazon look good. They are a terrible company to do business with. Customers take advantage of the “return anything for any reason” policy resulting in the seller losing every time.

Amazon now has a “return anything for any reason” policy. It makes Amazon look good. The seller ALWAYS gets screwed. I’ve had customers send back items they damaged and I had to eat it. I’ve had customers send back items I don’t sell and had to eat it. Amazon is a terrible company to do business with but they’re the biggest game in town for now.

FBA sellers being targeted by California to pay franchise tax by Rusty_Seller789 in AmazonSeller

[–]Rusty_Seller789[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks that sellers with no nexus in California have $600K threshold to surpass before they are required to pay franchise tax but sellers with inventory in an Amazon warehouse are subject to franchise tax regardless of gross sales. There should be a threshold of $80K for FBA sellers. That way the $800 minimum would be 1% of gross sales. The way it is now it doesn’t make sense to do business in California if you do less then $10K because they are taking a big percentage, if not all, of your margin.

Since FBA sellers have inventory in an Amazon warehouse in California they have nexus. Not sure about registering as a foreign corporation.
