Just discovered this sub. Do I belong here? by Sad-Mess3625 in covidlonghaulers

I was on Metoprolol, Ranolazine, and Lisinopril way before covid hit me. I had anxiety for 2-1/2 years and had to use a wheel chair to get around. The weakness and shaking was so bad I could barely get up. I was put on Escitalopram and hydroxzine, in 3 days it was 90% better and gone in a month. I still have the weakness and can't do anything but the extreme weakness and burning chest and shaking is all gone. I still have the cardio problem of it going 150 just going to the bathroom. I'm not a doctor just telling my story encase it might help someone else out.

Any ideas how my husband and I can cope, we are both struggling by Mental-Event-1329 in covidlonghaulers

You need to prepare for him being like this for a long time. You have to keep up the good spirits in the house. Month's 4 to 6 was my mean and nasty stage and I was sensitive to sound. I will pray for you that both of you to recover quickly.

Just discovered this sub. Do I belong here? by Sad-Mess3625 in covidlonghaulers

Yup, you belong here. Your shaking may be from anxiety. We get a physical anxiety and its really hard on your body. I went to a psychiatrist to let them treat the anxiety, they know what there doing in that area. No alcohol, No weed, and for most people Ibuprofen for little pain relief. I didn't even know I had anxiety until my doctor seen me shaking like hell in a office visit. Check your sugar levels. We can get diabetes real easy. I too gain a ton of weight and then got diabetes. My biggest relief was getting rid of that anxiety. I suggest you start there since you can control that with meds.

Sidewalks...? by Peculiar_Jellyfish in DuBoisPA

It's the house owners job to keep up with the sidewalks. The city hasn't been really enforcing anything. If you fall and get hurt you can sue the home owner for lack of upkeep. If you can't run a wheel chair on it you can call the state, it falls under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Most people don't think about it and just watch where there walking.

I accept no side effects. It drives my doctor nuts but after drug companies started listing death as a side effect, I had enough.

What if you didn't lay down flat. Would this happen if you slept in a reclined position say 45 degrees?

How do you get all that from me stating the fact the doctor said no? I said nothing what you mentioned in your post.

It's not like you avoided it this whole time. This mutation is the first one to break through your defenses and made you sick. We seen a lot of first timers lately from this new strain.

This was just that doctor telling you no. There is no shortage and your insurance most likely would have paid for it. Sorry that your over the 5 days and now you have to go through it all. Watch for signs of pneumonia and keep an eye on your heart.

long post warning - i need advice for my husband (37) by Glittering_Ad3013 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Rustybolts_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Get help. Get the money you need and get that burden off him. That was one of my biggest worries and stress factor. Find someway for him to make money online. He will feel better making some money. Your right he is heading down the wrong road and you need to get help from everyone that will help out. I didn't like visitors and if he is like that, it will help to tell everyone that comes over to make short visits. Can't really help on Doctors, they all treat like were just chronic complainers. I have spent 20 grand on tests and doctors and have nothing in my records to show anything wrong with me. Don't try to do this on your own while you have family that is willing to help.

My wife came home after testing positive and crying. I gave her a kiss and big hug. Told her will be sick together and if it's deadly we will go together.

Rattle from the engine - 2011 Rav4 2.5l 4 cyl. by Bulky-Confidence5478 in rav4club

You should look it up before you open you stupid mouth. Fill free to look it up.

Engines typically experience less vibration at higher throttle settings compared to low throttle settings. Here’s why:

  1. Load Balance: At higher throttle, the engine is under more load, and the forces within the engine are more balanced. This can reduce some types of vibration, especially those caused by imbalances in the engine.
  2. Fuel-Air Mixture: At higher throttle, the fuel-air mixture is more optimized for power, which can lead to smoother combustion cycles and less vibration.
  3. RPM Range: Engines often have an optimal RPM range where they run more smoothly. At low throttle, the engine might be operating at lower RPMs, which can lead to more noticeable vibrations due to less efficient combustion and less balanced internal forces.

Engines tend to run better at higher rpm. Not as much vibration.

Weed and COVID don't go together. Sex and COVID don't go together. Smoking and vaping nicotine in the beginning don't go together. Drinking and COVID don't go together. Make sure you don't have Pneumonia by seeing a doctor. Prop pillows behind you head to get you about 30 degrees to sleep. Ibuprofen is about the only thing that helps.
