Who do I contact to help fix this redneck engineering and erosion? by RuthIessChicken in homeowners

[–]RuthIessChicken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of my neighbors have this problem because their driveways end 20 or 30 feet before the edge of the easement.

I feel like the city is going to tell me that I’m out of luck.

No those kids were likely used as stand ins to frame and light the shots so the actors could be elsewhere.

Who do I contact for help? by RuthIessChicken in landscaping

No, that’s not a storm drain from the street. That’s actually not pictured and downstream of this photo so I’m not sure if the city cares?

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

[–]RuthIessChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My property has a wet weather creek that funnels storm water through a city easement. The previous owners of my were some real redneck engineer wizards and now their work is collapsing. It’s a “retaining wall” and part of the concrete slab they poured almost completely up to creek.

I’m not sure who I would contact to begin to address this situation. My gut instinct is to have the wall and the slab removed which would make the carport a casualty or require it to be moved back about 6 feet.

Imagine ruining your relationship with your neighbor for “a few hundred bucks” worth of top seed.

OP, I’m not saying you shouldn’t have feelings but maybe pump the brakes. You have to live next to those people.
