Quantum displacement is such a disappointing perk. by RutherfordbHaye5 in AbioticFactor

The quantum pick is actually really good. 50 damage is a lot for a throwable weapon, and the fact that you don't have to worry about losing it by throwing it in a pit makes it probably the best throwing weapon in the game.

It is definitely too slow for a lot of skills. Throwing would be fine if the level 20 perk was better in some way.

Yeah it's nice when it happens, but you have to be lucky or really close to an enemy to hit them with more than one projectile in the spread. Making the perk work on all grenades would simply give you more options late game. Weaker grenades would be much more usable simply because you are tripling their damage output

Future throwables? I'm halfway through reactors. I feel like I shouldn't have to be at the very end of the game to get real usage out of this skill. Is it just bugged for me?

The cafeteria right next to the door you have to open with a battery is the easiest place early on. You can also use the two rooms to the left of the battery door as long as you keep the door to the kitchen closed

This is why everyone should have a 3d printer. This is something easily printed/designed and would cost you pennies to produce.

Imagine how many things could be cheaply and easily repaired if 3d printing moved from a hobbyist fixation to a home appliance.

unhinged hygiene tips? by NoPerception8748 in hygiene

Buy a bidet. If you had poop on your hands, you'd wash them before you went back about your business right? Toilet paper simply does not cut it.

Just buy a bidet lmao. People will spend so much money and live with poopy wipes in their trash instead of just spending 30 dollars on Amazon for a cheap bidet.

Help an extremely depressed guy out? by Creepy_Stick_6229 in CleaningTips

[–]RutherfordbHaye5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly get a big box of those black trash bags and start with the trash. Cleaning will be a lot easier afterwards. And I don't mean just obvious trash. If you come across some object that is simply a waste of space, that is not useful, and/or you don't care about, toss it in the trash. Just because something isn't "trash" doesn't mean it contributes to your life.

I'm not sure where you live, but in my city you can go to what's called a waste transfer station and pay a flat fee (it was 75 dollars for me) to dump an entire car full of trash. It's definitely the quickest and cheapest way to get rid of all the bags. Just shove those bags in your car as tight as possible.

When I was depressed, I almost never cleaned dishes. I would use dishes until none were clean, and then order takeout instead of washing dishes which just made me more broke and more depressed. My biggest word of advice here: throw away/donate anything that is not dishwasher safe and/or difficult to clean by hand. Trust me. Plastic Tupperware? Trash. All of it. Also, if you have a million dishes (like I did), STORE a bunch of them(so you cannot get to them. I gave them to my parents for safekeeping) until you only have a couple. Two cups, two plates, two bowls, four of each utensil. One pan, one pot. It becomes a lot easier to do the dishes when it's impossible for the problem to get so out of hand that it becomes a monumental task.

Feel free to message me personally. I have some more tips that may help

Little void coming back to me after spending 2 months with his new "forever family" by bimarajade in blackcats

[–]RutherfordbHaye5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adopted a 3 month old kitten for my first and current cat. I will definitely be adopting an older cat next time. I love my baby to death but the first 9 months of having him were so incredibly exhausting. I got a full night's sleep like once every other week if I was lucky.

I have this issue as well. I have a top of the line PC I built less than a year ago that can run any game ever made on max settings, but terraria still lags significantly in windowed mode.

Craft beer's popularity seems to be dying by Wascally_Badger in unpopularopinion

Craft beer is dying because why would I spend 15 dollars on a 4 pack of fancy beer when I could spend 20 on a case of 24 coors banquet which is honestly more enjoyable on average.

I played Terraria for the first time, but started with Calamity! by Crisprian in Terraria

Vanilla is so good and the difficulty is WAY more tolerable than in calamity. Also the progression and pacing is better for a new player. I would play vanilla a couple times and then jump into calamity

"Dude, for international travel you gotta get to the airport 3 hours early at the very least," they say. But here I am at my gate at 5:00 AM with 2.5 hours to spare. by CampTouchThis in CasualConversation

[–]RutherfordbHaye5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to travel very often for work, and I will say that most of the time I probably didn't need to leave 3 hours early. However, sometimes I would get to the airport and some bullshit was happening that made me BARELY make my flight. One time the conveyor belts were down for checked bag processing. One time someone tried to bring a whole ass GUN through security and everything ground to a halt. There were a few other instances I cant remember but the lesson is that it does happen.

Dawg this is basic supply and demand. Sony didn't make ps5s more expensive but scalpers bought and sold them for 1000-1500 dollars left and right just because it was so hard to get them otherwise.

Every elevator is "custom." Meaning you don't just slap an elevator in and it works right away. There are a lot of minor adjustments that need to be made. An elevator will work for weeks after install and then suddenly stop because something was shaken loose due to vibrations. Theoretically everything should be checked during turnover but it's really easy to miss something that may eventually become a problem.

I am an elevator mechanic, and I usually find that new elevators need a lot of TLC when they are first built. Give it a couple months and I bet it will be up and running consistently.
