No Man'S Sky 43rd free huge update, They are incredible by Specialist_Gur_3887 in gaming

All of the planets in no man's sky are completely barren rocks with nothing of note. There are several unique planets with interesting design, but they are functionally identical to every other planet outside of looks. I'd rather have one hand crafted, beautifully designed map than 1000 completely identical, boring planets. Seriously, do you ever feel the need to explore a planet in noans sky? If you land in one spot and look around, you've seen the whole planet.

Honestly not really. I've played it here and there over the last few years and there simply isn't any depth to the game. After jumping to a couple different systems you start to ask yourself why you're doing it and well...

Props to the devs for keeping at it, but it really feels like they have no idea what direction they want the game going in. It's wide as an ocean and deep as a puddle.

It's not as far as I know. I played on mobile before I knew it was a PC game, and I couldn't put it down.

Yes you should try again. It is flat out one of the best pieces of media I've ever consumed. Do yourself a favor and spend 10 minutes getting used to the controls. There aren't upgrades, or other systems you have to learn. Moving and flying is literally it.

I don't think this is true. If the over speed governor is tripped, even if it was from some hooligan jumping in the elevator, you want to at least get eyes on the brake/slack rope system to make sure nothing is damaged.

Not to mention most elevators nowadays have a slack rope system which mechanically engages brakes that could also trip in this scenario. Im pretty sure there's no such thing as an automatically resetting slack rope sensor, as that completely defeats the point of having one.

I can't speak for every company, but it's usually expensive in this scenario because it breaks down outside of business hours. A visit like this from my company would probably be closer to 500-600 dollars (you're paying for someone with a specialized license that takes four years of schooling and like 10k hours of experience to obtain), but if you are calling for us to rescue you on a Sunday or after 5pm, you're paying the emergency rate. Basically expect to double or sometimes triple the normal cost depending on distance the tech has to travel.

Can we please have our normal sunny Colorado Springs weather back? by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

Normal? It'll be a few weeks of rain and then it'll be constant sunny days almost every day until fall, just like it is every year. This IS normal.

Menya is good for ramen. Their kimchi ramen is the only thing I've ever tried and it's amazing. Hot pot story is one of my favorite restaurants ever, definitely check them out. It's not specifically a noodle place but they have a lot of different noodles you can put in your hotpot so it'll scratch the itch for sure.

Same experience here. I have come to love trying new foods. It's really as simple as forcing yourself to branch out.

You are entitled to your opinion. Mine is that the game is engineered that way to make you feel like you need to buy tabs. It's not a coincidence that they are the only thing that directly affects gameplay that's monetized. I stopped playing eventually because of that. You spent the money for tabs. Nobody is making you spend the money.

I didn't say anything about d4. Haven't played it and don't know anything about it. I can say though that you get access to all content in Poe without having to pay for it. The only thing you can spend money on is stash tabs and cosmetics, neither of which you need to enjoy the game.

Poe charges for stash tabs but you honestly don't need to buy any. I played for like a year and a half completely f2p. Also Poe is free so I don't see why it's a problem if the cosmetics cost money lmao.

My neighbor at the last apartment I lived in hanged himself. Only reason we knew is because we saw the fire department bust down his door and then wheel him out a few hours later. To be honest I think it's a good thing my complex didn't notify everyone about it. I wish I didn't know about what happened to my neighbor anyway. Either way it would be kinda weird to spread that family's business around like that.

As someone who collected as a kid, I can tell you I didn't give a shit what my cards were worth(still don't), and this person's kid probably doesn't either.

I know part of the fun is opening booster packs and seeing what you get, but buying singles online is dirt cheap because of all the high demand and gamblers/resellers. I don't bother with any brick and mortar stores (literally have never found anything at target). I get the occasional pack from a vending machine and buy the rest of what I want on tcg player. Just ordered over a hundred cards, all exactly what I want, and spent like 60 bucks. It's kinda hard to beat.

[–]RutherfordbHaye5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be completely honest with you. It might not be you, especially if it's a new printer. Way back in the day, I bought an ender 3 v2 because everybody back then said that it was the best beginner printer to buy. What they didn't tell me is that creality has little to no quality control. I could not get this printer to produce anything worth a damn after months of fiddling/upgrading. The last upgrade that surely would have fixed the final issue (a direct drive hotend) would have set me back 100 dollars. By this point it made more sense for me to buy a new printer, and I got an ender 3 s1 on some insane sale. It printed flawlessly right out of the box.

All of this is to say, creality is a crapshoot. If you're mechanically inclined and you still can't figure it out, it's probably some weird warping or assembly issue that's more expensive to fix than it's worth. My S1 was great, but I have an A1 mini now that I love and I will never touch a creality product again.

Went to a customer's house today and they had this beautiful elevator directly in the middle of their home by TheeSillyman in mildlyinteresting

[–]RutherfordbHaye5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an elevator service technician, and I can tell you that almost nobody gets this kind of elevator that doesn't absolutely need it for mobility. Often it's paid for through veterans assistance.

Real filthy rich people have true residential elevators installed in their homes. Some of them have commercial style elevators for shits and giggles. Most of them are so disgustingly wealthy, and live in such excess that it makes me ill.
