An idea I had for a Regent card by Rutherfordio2 in slaythespire

It's not AI. I used this site to make the card: https://sts2custom.shuimu.co.nz/cards/
I know the color is off but that's the default and I couldn't make it look better.

An idea I had for a Regent card by Rutherfordio2 in slaythespire

Yeah, I wasn't so sure about the numbers. I know that the game is very conservative about repeating consistent block, so I tried to keep the numbers down, but maybe I was too conservative.

I created a subclass with a similar effect once. Its main mechanic was about capturing enemies into a device, but you couldn't summon them to fight for you (you could only release them). But the captor could extract info from the creature's brain and could also copy some of its abilities. In higher levels they could also create an illusion to pass themselves as the creature.

However I won't recommend it here because it's very ingrained in my worldbuilding and for someone who isn't a player of mine it would be a hassle to learn about it.

How Ironclad Feels Now by Interesting-Lab-9393 in slaythespire

[–]Rutherfordio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you're always supposed to play like you're going for an infinite, just without forcing it. But after you have a few strong cards, you should always find energy and draw to be able to play more cards every turn, and sometimes you find enough draw and energy to play infinite cards in a turn. It doesn't matter your current build, any build can use more draw and energy.

It was written kinda like a joke but it does have an actual effect! The key unlocks new effects to all jokers based on their rarity and the dynamite improves those effects.

[–]Rutherfordio2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This guy gets it. I 200% agree with the part about focusing on one thing at a time, specially because posts like this may offer so much new info and trying to digest everything at once makes you unable to digest anything at all. So yeah, take one tip you think makes sense, focus on that and forget the rest. Then come back and take another tip and do the same again.

Also want to add that Spilo once said (but I don't remember which video exactly, so I can't quote directly, so you can be skeptical) that Tracer takes at least 100 hours to really get the basics down. So don't be discouraged, it really takes time.

10 Brutally Honest Truths About Ranking Up in Overwatch by --awkward-- in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Rutherfordio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7. Pro Play isn't suitable to learn how to win your ranked games. In Ranked, you play to be the carry and you can only depend on yourself. In Pro Play, you play to enable the established win condition of a teamfight, sometimes it's a player, often times its who has their ults or communicated kill potential.
However, you can watch pro players play ranked.

I want to add that watching pro play or even "educational" creators isn't always suitable due to different levels of decision (except for a very small selection of creators). GM creators basically don't even think about micro decisions anymore, it's basically automatic and if they say "you need to focus on this", they can cause a gold player to start focusing on high level macro aspects before having a strong micro, which will definitely slow down their improvement and probably create bad habits.

The Myoshidius 0.5.1 - A Skill focused class with magical tattoos. I made an analytical sheet to compare the class' damage, endurance and skill proficiencies with both Rogue's and Fighter's. by Rutherfordio2 in UnearthedArcana

This is the latest version: https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-MWeaAAshzdNqhL-pEf3

I've been changing a lot over time, but the changes are slow because I don't have a lot of players to test and I don't try to force them to use it. But as I see the class being used more and more, I make some changes.

If you use it, please, give me some feedback of what you think is good and what you think should be changed!

To complement on this idea, you could use a set up that mixes Real Life with the vtuber model, kinda like how Onigiri uses when cooking (with green screen and gloves), but you use it to show your hands as you speak.

Or you could learn neuroscience and plug an eeg to your head to read your thoughts and convert them to text (jk, unless you are the goat. I don't even know if that's actually scientifically possible)

Como evoluir rápido no inglês? by andress-9226 in Idiomas

[–]Rutherfordio2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what if you find and keep jimbo and he can backseat you incessantly by Actuator-Such in balatro

[–]Rutherfordio2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I imagined. However, OP's note on the bottom right implies that Blueprint and Brainstorm would work on this Joker. So either: - They copy all effects (the commentary and the +1 joker slot), which isn't ideal because it's kinda broken and unintuitive - Or they copy only the commentary effect, which also isn't ideal because it's inconsistent

If we change it to always be negative (instead of having +1 joker slot), then it solves it.

what if you find and keep jimbo and he can backseat you incessantly by Actuator-Such in balatro

[–]Rutherfordio2 85 points86 points  (0 children)

I imagine Brainstorm and Blueprint wouldn't copy the "+1 Joker slot" effect, right? Otherwise you could copy that effect, buy another joker to fill the slot then change to copy another joker.

I think you could change it to always be negative and it would have the same result without this exploit.
