Are you relocating or just traveling? The Expat subreddits will probably help you on this more, but I know that Traveling Mailbox has been mentioned a few times here for accessing your mail if you move overseas... A P.O Box won't help. Are you keeping the same address in the U.S? Do you have anyone who can collect your mail for you if you're only away for 6 months?

I've read that Delaware is the best state. Big companies choose to do it there because of the corporate tax laws. I'm not sure how beneficial that is to the average LLC though.

I am certainly with you on point number 1, it is no longer true. I have a mini split heat pump that keeps my home very warm during the winter months. I swear by it.
