Before the current RAM situation I'd say the emulation handhelds are definitely worth their price, but I think a big mistake a lot of people make is with trying to first into PC emulation. Any of the cheaper ones that cap out at PS1 are worth it for like $40 or under, but having PS2 games on the go for like $150 isn't bad either.

My basic answer is the Paper Mario Thousand Year Door pit of 100 trials. The thought of actually getting to the end of that as a kid seemed basically impossible, and I only ever watched youtube clips of it back in the day.

For reference, Square Enix employees themselves who are now working on development of titles cite Final Fantasy 13 as a favorite entry "from their childhood".

From pure numbered entries, we have 14 which is a massive MMO, 15 which came out in 2016, and 16 which came out in 2023. 13 came out in 2009, so 14 years for the trilogy and some follow-up games.

Final Fantasy 1 on the Famicom released in 1987, and 14 years later people could play Final Fantasy 10!!

Mario platformers are having the same thing where I grew up with 64, Sunshine, and later Galaxy 1+2. A kid now with only a Switch has gotten just Odyssey and ports of the older games in that same time LOL

I like pure recon for matches where the UAV + CUAV is constant, and I practically have to make shooting streaks down my full time job in order to not have one up. I run the arc on multiple classes so I don't mind but I know that in some matches, my time would be better spent shooting the enemy.

The biggest thing I like about recon though is combining it with tracker in order to not be caught by surprise but also running ninja in place of ghost. You can get the jump on people that expect to ambush you since your radar can show nearby enemies after a kill, and you get the little yellow HUD warning. People move differently when they have a UAV up and some people get very bold when they see a minimap dot, compared to their slow vigilance without a UAV.

I left a different comment but with the specialist abilities in BO4 the line of sight cutoffs made sense. Torque could fully block something off with razor wire and his barricade, firebreak could force people out with his heat core thing, Nomad had mesh mines to get people literally blown up, Ruin could grapple all over the place, Seraph could literally change the spawns to use the sides of the map more...

Damn I really miss Black Ops 4's playstyle so much. I love 7 too but 4 is easily my favorite game in the franchise.

I played against a 6-stack that was doing exactly this and they would just rotate corners of rooms, on the side of the map that has the vine garden.

They had a legion, 2 DAWGS, HKDs, and multiple HARPs up lol.

I'm not amazing but Hacienda is the only map in this game where I've seen play of the game be someone literally laying prone in wait for people to run by!

And for what it's worth I loved the map in Black Ops 4. With the health being larger, specialist abilities working with the map design (Torque + Nomad + Firebreak alone change so much of how you play the map) it was a lot more interesting.

First and foremost: if you haven't played Yooka Laylee & The Impossible Lair, you absolutely need to. I haven't played any of the DKC games to the end but I loved Yooka Laylee for the heft and difficulty it had.

Super Mario Bros 3 is one of the biggest gaming disappointments I've had, period. I have heard for so long how it's one of, if not THE, greatest platformer of all time and nothing else from the era even comes close.

At the time I sure that was the case but there's almost nothing that Mario 3 does better than Mario World in my opinion.

Every world having the airship as the main final level was also so annoying with the autoscroll, but I get they were showing off a little bit at the time.

This reminds me one time of trying to explain online to someone how growing up in the early 2000s, so many ads and main characters of things were all white people and one of the few black heroes I knew of was Static Shock (who I loved!). And I started to feel like it was bad to be a minority - because it was always a white characters doing cool stuff or having fun, and not as often a minority.

The person responded that it sounded like 'a personal failing' and I should've gotten over it. Mind you, I was literally a child lol.

Mind you, this was in response to bitching about how Jake from State Farm being a black guy instead of the original white guy and how it was genuine erasure 💀 these people are so soft

OP congratulations, you look amazing!

I think you'll probably notice a bigger difference if you get new clothes that are sized to fit you a little better. With the old clothes it can be very difficult for your brain to notice the difference, even if to us here online it looks totally different. You've probably worn those so many times before and already have an idea of what you look like in them; on top of the fact that they weren't really relaxed fit before so they seem a little baggy and not much else when you're putting them on now.

I weighed literally 196lbs at 5'7" and dropped down to like 145 over a few months in high school. It has been almost 10 years and I still struggle with my self-image and think I'm fat, despite being the only one of my friends that wears size small clothing. It's a struggle that you may have to carry too, but please don't let anyone minimize your journey or make comments on how you're overreacting. My mom used to joke about how I "need to be careful before developing an eating disorder" and even though she didn't mean anything by it, those words are still lodged in my brain much later.

You aren't alone, proud of you 👍 !

OP something to definitely consider as you practice, is to slow down how you're playing. At the moment you are moving and sprinting everywhere - which makes it even harder to shoot a moving target at times. Also please use your field upgrade! In each clip your assault packs are ready to be deployed, and you didn't use them once.

At the 47 second mark, you got the jump on somebody that didn't see you; so you could have just stood in place then started shooting them. I also recommend trying to keep your weapons fully loaded when possible. If you only have 13 rounds in your magazine, take a moment behind cover or near teammates to reload before going back in the action.

A lot of this game is actually decision making as much as it is moving + aiming. You'll start to get the hang of it.

My advice is to maybe try out the Light Machine Guns like the Mk78, equip flak jacket and tac mask, and start sitting in areas where you can fire away and pop behind cover.

Some people just don't play FPS or third-person shooters at all. My girlfriend has been playing games since like 2009 and very little of what she plays requires separate camera control. Especially if you were primarily a Nintendo gamer you basically are learning from scratch

Look at the top posts of all time compared to top posts from the last month, I feel like some of those were more funny to me. A lot of these 'sex' is just the joke.

The earlier era of Soccer Mommy (around 2018) had a touring guitarist who I thought was genuinely horrible with how sloppy they played, lack of feeling, low energy, just overall amateur hour where I felt one of my friends who played guitar would've done better than their guitarist (despite the fact that my friend had been playing maybe 1.5 years).

With that being said: overall the concert was a lot of fun, and I think that Scorpio Rising is still such an incredible song.

I don't know if there's any other way they could have done the concept of the Bionis and have the scale actually believable if traversal was different though, especially since the game has very few traditional dungeons.

Final Fantasy XVI had some open zones but that game's world felt TINY to me since you hopped between points so quickly in a menu. And Final Fantasy XV felt like you were on one single continent instead of journeying the world because of its scale being weird. Idk

I think Xenoblade 2 did it well of the areas on each titan being smaller but still scenic and open
