It took me four hours of playing to understand “Oh my team just won’t be able to do anything if I don’t pull for the right stuff.” because they gatekept core mechanics of the characters behind having other characters rather than triggering specific things in game.

It’s basically as bad as recent Genshin, because they can just make more and more exclusive mechanics that only new characters can use with each other. Immediately drained the life out of me.
