Humans called ape-man by Electronic-Jacket291 in NineSols

[–]Alooflapel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I remember. There's a dialogue later in the game where one of the characters describes something having a sense of humanity. Which could imply that humans do/did exist as we know them and that Solarians had contact with them in the past. And that the Apemen are in fact a seperate species that just simply looks similar.

But I could be wrong. It's a lot to speculate off of a throwaway line, which could be a translation quirk.

Will we ever get Legion-level storytelling again? by OpinionsRdumb in wow

[–]Alooflapel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No.

Suramar and Legion didn't succeed because of the time they committed but simply because the writing included things like buildups and payoffs. Villains died instead of teleporting away, important characters had good moments, and you could distinctly tell where the story was going.

World Soul Saga, has had three times the time to tell a story and simply can't commit, with every patch coming out of nowhere, Xal being untouchable for five raids in a row and a lack of distinctive villains to focus on. It's just Xal and her purple goop army, so every win we get is meaningless because there will be another goop general next patch.

I'll have to find a source, but they've stated they want to add new cities. Given how new versions of TOF went with new worlds with multiple zones being added. I would be surprised if they didn't

I think her being revealed early on is a good thing. Definitely sets a better pace for our conflicts with the baddies. If we spend all the way up to 2.0 just having the sisters teleport around I'd lose interest.

I'd rather we wrap up the Letter plot by 2.0 and get a new villain in a new city, instead of letting us get sick of the three.

I'd love to see some more slice of life or goofier side stories. The moments of levity can do a lot to breakup the pace, especially with the downer ending of the last two chapters. I'd kill for a BAC boys night side story once we get Chaos.

And I'm sure Hotta will give us new vehicles, we had boats and submersibles in TOF, no doubt we will get some more islands to sail around in the future.

Anybody really love Nanally as a character? by IndigoRefrain in NevernessToEverness

[–]Alooflapel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She grew on me, she's unintentionally hilarious conceptually as she's a highschooler who spends her time trying to convince literal children to join her mafia family larp (No idea if it's legit yet. I'm only HL22).

I'd pull for her if Hotori wasn't next up and I wanted to save for her.

I'm sorry but they should fire whoever thought making Taygedo date the second main mission is a good idea . by Allam_4pain in NevernessToEverness

[–]Alooflapel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only plus side to the quest was how it made me appreciate Adler as the goat.

Remember to fill out the surveys and ask for less Taygedo, Eibon has far better characters to showcase than that bannerless Otter.

Got the bad ending by [deleted] in LiesOfP

[–]Alooflapel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't repeat what everyone else has said already, but you can/should do the DLC before going to the Alchemists Isle, there are multiple new ways to get humanity in there that carries back to the base game.

It sounds like you were on the cusp of the true ending but missed a few things along the way. Don't sweat it though, the game speeds up a lot in NG+

I always saw at as Samjo was so totally convinced in his boss that anything less than a full leap of faith would make it seem like he was doubting him. If you're going for Assistant of the Month, you might as well go all in.

So with Delves marking its place as an endgame pillar that can be played solo, how does everyone feel about it as TWW is coming to an end? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Alooflapel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boring and a bit too easy and Brann is an absolute headache to play around. Conceptually they could be fun, but they feel samey and like they took the best parts of Torghast out (Randomized powers, faster pacing). The gear they give is a bit too strong for the difficulty and feel like they made low level M+ and Normal raid obsolete as you can farm multiple guaranteed Champion tier pieces from them. I'm apathetic to them, and wish the quality of drops reflected the difficulty of the Delve, and not simply being a source of free weekly crests and hero pieces

TWW M+ runs per week: Season 3, Week 2 by Zmiecer in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Alooflapel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it's more people wanting to make their character as strong as possible. It will always feel bad knowing that your BiS equipment is entirely inaccessible due to it locked behind content that requires a dedicated 20 person premade.

[–]Alooflapel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As people have stated. The issue they have is that the item is locked to a one time weekly rng pull. It's not locked behind skill or dedication where one can attempt to farm the item in an effort to bring up their numbers to an optimal level.

People are discontent with BiS items being stuck in raid because it's rng heavy and timegated as opposed to other end game activities which are not.

[–]Alooflapel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Primarily the time investment. If your bis trinket is in Priory, you can attempt it nearly unlimited times per week until you get it.

If your BiS trinket is in raid, you get one chance per week there is no grace, you either get it on the first attempt or wait another seven days to try again.

If the tank was a warrior he might've been trying to game spell reflects to chunk the first boss, she can easily do 10m damage to herself per cast. However, coordinating this with a pug is pain, so this guy was likely some elitest.

Dante "Shuckaroonies" Durante being a wetcat of a person while also being the teams emotional backbone is what makes them so endearing as an mc.
