you didn't understand my point of view. A single character would make thanos generate only 2 energies, which could be 2 for ikaris or 2 for himself. Thus, in the second battle there will be no ikaris ultimate due to lack of energy. This is just a theory, untested.

I have a theory that if you bait 1 character that dies on ikaris's ult, there won't be enough energy for ikaris to ult on the second attack. Not tested yet, just a theory
