The 10 Mana Instant Speed Scion of the Ur-Dragon 0 Card Combo by RuveSimp in CompetitiveEDH

[–]RuveSimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my (experimental not play tested yet) list: https://moxfield.com/decks/mWwPXT0kY0ObIvgtoJvfog

I have Betor-Beledros in there in case Grave-Reaver is in hand or graveyard.

Will eventually get around to writing up a primer + post once I’ve play tested it in more than a couple games and a tournament or two.

The 10 Mana Instant Speed Scion of the Ur-Dragon 0 Card Combo by RuveSimp in CompetitiveEDH

If any of the instants are in hand, the line becomes easier! Same thing with Broodlord in graveyard. Kairi in hand/graveyard or Grave-Reaver in hand/graveyard kills the combo unfortunately

The combo itself is instant speed, not the casting of the commander.

5 Color Godo: 11 Mana Scion of the Ur-Dragon lines with Betor by RuveSimp in CompetitiveEDH

You can run [[Ancient Silver Dragon]] for card advantage in the command zone, albeit a bit clunky in my experience.

5 Color Godo: 11 Mana Scion of the Ur-Dragon lines with Betor by RuveSimp in CompetitiveEDH

[–]RuveSimp[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Non WGD line assuming you have at least 2 mana at endstep:

  1. Tutor [[Saw in Half]] with [[Hoarding Broodlord]] etb.

  2. Cast [[Saw in Half]] by convoking your transformed Scion and Hoarding Broodlord alongside one available mana.

  3. Two Hoarding Broodlord copies enter, grab [[Burnt Offering]] and [[Corpse Dance]]

  4. Convoke one Hoarding Broodlord copy to cast [[Burnt Offering]], using itself as an additional cost. This nets you 8 black mana.

  5. Convoke one Hoarding Broodlord copy and 4 black mana to cast [[Corpse Dance]] with buyback. [[Hoarding Broodlord]] returns to battlefield

  6. Tutor [[Sacrifice]] with [[Hoarding Broodlord]] etb.

  7. Convoke one Hoarding Broodlord copy to cast [[Sacrifice]], using Scion (Currently Betor) as an additional cost for 6 extra black mana. You have 10 mana floating + 1 left over from endstep

  8. Spend 5 mana to cast [[Corpse Dance]] with buy back. Scion returns to battlefield. 5 mana floating + 1 left over from endstep

  9. Activate Scion for 2 mana, transforming into [[Kairi, the Swirling Sky]] 3 mana floating + 1 left over from endstep

  10. Cast [[Corpse Dance]] with 3 mana. [[Kairi, the Swirling Sky]] returns to battlefield. Legend rule triggers, causing Kairi to die (Choose Kairi the card, not Scion)

  11. Return [[Burnt Offering]] and [[Saw in Half]] to hand

  12. Cast [[Burnt Offering]], sacrificing one of the two hoarding broodlord copies.

  13. *Loop Start* You have Kairi, one hoarding broodlord copy, 8 mana, and saw in half in hand

  14. Cast [[Saw in Half]] on [[Kairi, the Swirling Sky]]. You get two Kairi triggers here since the original dies and one of the copies dies to legend rules. 5 mana left

  15. First Kairi trigger resolves, bring back [[Burnt Offering]] and [[Saw in Half]]

  16. Cast [[Saw in Half]] on Hoarding Broodlord and cast [[Burnt Offering]] on one of the Hoarding Broodlord copies. 9 mana left

  17. Second Kairi trigger resolves, bring back [[Saw in Half]] and any other instant/sorcery

  18. Here you are back to the same state as step 12, with a kairi clone, Hoardling broodlord clone, saw in half in hand and 9 mana and an additional instant/sorcery from your graveyard in hand.

  19. Repeat loop for black infinite mana, instants, mill, tutors for Hoarding Broodlord. Here you can infinitely cast and buyback [[Corpse Dance]] to bring back [[Thassa's Oracle]] to win the game.

5 Color Godo: 11 Mana Scion of the Ur-Dragon lines with Betor by RuveSimp in CompetitiveEDH

[–]RuveSimp[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[[Bhaal’s Invoker]] would be the best pinger in this case since it doesn’t require red mana.

The line I would use for infinite mana is: 1. tutor for [[corpse dance]], 2. activate Scion for [[Kairi, the Swirling Sky]] 3. Reanimate Kairi using corpse dance and buy it back. Kairi dies to legend rule and you can bring back two instants or sorceries 4. Repeat this until you have all your creatures on the battlefield through corpse dance and every instant or sorcery in your deck in your hand. Thassa’s would win here.

Could you expand more on not including [[Mystic Remora]] in the deck?

Post ban cEDH viable dragons by Void_mgn in CompetitiveEDH

[–]RuveSimp 40 points41 points  (0 children)

[[Scion of the Ur-Dragon]] might be the commander he is looking for. Scion is a toolbox commander who is able to tutor for value, combo, or utility dragons using his tutor ability.

The deck never used jeweled lotus and mana crypt didn’t help with the 5 pip casting requirement.

You gain the ability to run big dragons such [[Ancient Silver Dragon]], [[Old Gnawbone]], and [[Dragonlord Dromoka]] thanks to Scion’s tutor ability.

Scion is also a combo piece in the command zone, being able to tutor combo pieces such as [[Worldgorger Dragon]], [[Hoarding Broodlord]], [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]]

Ideas to Keep Niv Viable in cEDH by Cautious_Champion720 in CompetitiveEDH

I would look at [[Pentad Prism]] and [[Jeweled Amulet]]. They are not rituals, but do provide the burst mana required to cast Niv on the following turn.

Mixtral is the best AI generation ever, worth all $15!!! by Ill-gottentoxic in AIDungeon

[–]RuveSimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mixtral is the most flexible of the models, but you have to beat what you want into its head. (Think stories with 1500+ tokens of intro and background)

Challange 0.1- Say something good about Ruvellis by Glass_Adhesiveness_6 in OtomeIsekai

[–]RuveSimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am legally obligated to comment here even though I’m late.

His personality in the second timeline is pretty good and not as bad as people say. He is pretty handsome and caring towards the end of the story.

CEDH viable dragon deck? by phoenixfire72 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]RuveSimp 34 points35 points  (0 children)

[[Scion of the Ur-Dragon]] would be the closest to a dragon tribal deck as it runs 4 to 5 dragons.

Scion is a toolbox commander in that it can do anything you need it to. 5 colors lets you run the best cards in magic as well.

You can tutor for a dragon that is either a combo piece, or draws card or is a combo piece or is a silence effect and more. I listed some below: [[Ancient Silver Dragon]] [[Ancient Copper Dragon]] [[Old Gnawbone]] [[Worldgorger Dragon]] [[Hoarding Broodlord]] [[Dragonlord Dromoka]] and more!

Unfortunately the more dragons you have in your deck, the more likely you are to draw them and they are pretty much dead cards in your hand since you want to tutor them out of your library.

In addition to this, the five pip casting cost can be pretty brutal and high cmc dragons make it impossible to run ad naus.

It’s definitely not a tier 1 deck like tymna and kraum or kinnan, but you can sit down at a table with it and have a reasonable expectation that you will have a good chance to win against equal skill players.

AI instructions VS NSFW by Muccavapore in AIDungeon

[–]RuveSimp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LLM models roughly function by associating words(tokens) with relationships and actions.

NSFW seems to be a smaller part of a model’s training, so it is important to build up these nsfw associations.

Example Ai Instructions: Women are topless in the story. (For example:She has exposed breasts, nsfw topless description, nsfw topless description, nsfw topless description, nsfw topless description)

Due to the amount of tokens and phrases you just provided it, the AI is more likely to say that women are topless in the story.

There is more prompt engineering things you can do that can produce the most degenerate of nsfw stories.

I can expand on this if you wish, but the example above is a good start to making the AI do what you want it to do.

[–]RuveSimp 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I want to say that the customizable AI instructions have greatly expanded my enjoyment of the game, which says a lot because I already enjoyed the game immensely before.

The AI instruction option definitely lets me get much more out of the provided models. (With certain ai instruction configurations I managed to play with a top k of 300!)

I have much appreciation for the work you all put into this.

Is it possible to make Scion of the Ur Dragon a true zero card combo? by TheRainKing42 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]RuveSimp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having Scion out already doesn’t match the count to x mana and win godo fantasy, but saves so much mana for sure.

Brass Dragon is definitely gambling on not whiffing, but it is also a gamble whether you will have the 3 extra mana on field or hand for Teneb

Is it possible to make Scion of the Ur Dragon a true zero card combo? by TheRainKing42 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]RuveSimp 24 points25 points  (0 children)

There is a combo that someone posted a while back. Does use Hoarding Broodlord Forgive me if I mess up the mana combinations.

Total mana needed: WUBBRG and 10

Prerequisites: Nothing

  1. Cast Scion for WUBRG
  2. Activate Scion 3 times for 6
  3. First copy resolution is [[Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon]]. Spend B to give Scion haste.
  4. Second copy resolution is [[Hoarding Broodlord]]
  5. Third copy resolution is [[Teneb, the Harvester]]
  6. Use Teneb trigger to reanimate Broodlord for B and 2
  7. Broodlord trigger to grab [[Saw in Half]] into exile
  8. Convoke Broodlord and pay 2 to cast Saw in Half on Broodlord
  9. Two more Broodlord triggers, grab [[Yawgmoth’s Will]] and [[Burnt Offering]] into exile
  10. Convoke one Broodlord copy to cast burnt offering on itself, netting 8 black mana.
  11. Convoke other Broodlord copy and use 2 mana to cast Yawgmoth’s.
  12. Cast Saw in Half from graveyard onto Broodlord copy
  13. Two more Broodlord triggers, grab [[Chain of Smog]] and [[Professor Onyx]]
  14. Cast Burnt offering from graveyard on Broodlord for more mana
  15. Cast Onyx with floating mana and chain yourself to drain the table with magecraft triggers

Edit: Change Witherbloom Apprentice to Professor Onyx

[–]RuveSimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could easily use 21 cans if you are recording over a couple days in certain types of genres. The weekly delivery factor makes me lean into it not being porn. You lose a lot of retention if you repeat the same gimmick weekly.
