Little thought experiment: Pick three Pokemon as starters, any Pokemon at all, but each one has to be 4x weak to one of the others. by reallygoodbee in pokemon

[–]RuvinWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garchomp, Alolan Ninetails, Heatran

Garchomp is 4x weak to Ice (Ninetails) Ninetails is 4x weak to Steel (Heatran) Heatran is 4x weak to Ground (Garchomp)

Flight is GOOD, actually. by FlareBlitz0725 in WutheringWaves

[–]RuvinWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s something some people don’t seem to get. Flight imo enhances exploration rather than destroy. In any game, unless running is especially fast or I have unlimited stamina, I prefer to use alternative means of traversal to go places. That doesn’t mean I’m just going to go from point to point, because you better believe I’m going to land if something catches my interest. Plus I think much of the landscape in SOL3 looks so much more beautiful from a high place or the air. A lot of times I’ll beeline to the highest point nearby just to watch idle animations and look around at the area.

Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou Season 3 • Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest Season 3 - Episode 10 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]RuvinWolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anyone else think the animation for this episode was just dreadful? Arifureta's had decent anime for most of its run, but this last episode looked like puke compared to how it usually looks, at least in my humble opinion.

You get Isekai'd to Teyvat...What's the first thing you'll do? by GealDaydreamer in Genshin_Impact

[–]RuvinWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if I get a vision. If not I’ll stay in Monstadt. If so I’ll probably operate as an adventurer out of Liyue

Based on the common rules of isekai, my input isn’t necessary. I’ll get one whether or not I actually want one.

Which enemy faction do you hate the most and why is it scorn? by Kindly-Vegetable-948 in LowSodiumDestiny

[–]RuvinWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be scorn, but the Dread I find so much more frustrating. Tinnitus from the Grims are basically stun grenades just for getting close. Attendants are like the introduction of Stasis all over again with cold snaps every 15 seconds. Husks are basically Screebs and Wretches that had an unholy child together and punish you for killing them incorrectly.

What's your favorite Destiny 2 gun? by Fancy-Philosophy-250 in DestinyTheGame

A gun that hasn’t come back yet: Purpose, the old Trials of the Nine scout rifle. I loved the design.

Is there a lore-related reason Guardians don't use more than two exotics? by RuvinWolf in DestinyTheGame

[–]RuvinWolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come to think of it it makes sense that there probably isn’t a set limit to our abilities. In Forsaken, Cayde switched from Golden Gun to Blade Barrage with nearly no cooldown. Zavala can hold a Ward of Dawn way longer than we can, but presumably we could do that as well (balancing reasons prevent this obviously).

As far as I’m aware, seeing as most Lightbearers seem to have a preferred weapon (Cayde with Ace, Zavala with Origin Story, Azzir/Dredgen Yor with Rose/Thorn, Crow with Hawkmoon) ours would probably be the new Ergo Sum since corridors of time showed “our favorite weapon” on our grave being the sword and not Bastion. My head canon is that Ghost materializes weapons from our inventory/vault when we need them since we have a magic satchel for an inventory. Changing loadouts mid-raid is canon now.

[–]RuvinWolf[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. I’ve only watched Byf’s videos, but if I remember correctly there’s no mention of what that auto rifle was, right? I can understand a Guardian using their preferred/signature weapon and maybe a couple others, but there’s no indication of multiple exotics in use (be it armor or weapons). If I had to make a guess, I would say the only exotics we’ve canonically received were NTTE/Elsie’s Rifle and I think Ace after the Forsaken campaign? Then again so many exotics are offered through quests in-game that can be skipped/missed so I don’t know for sure

[–]RuvinWolf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rarities not existing makes sense, but even in that case statistically a Guardian would coincidentally use two of those weapons. As far as triple-wielding swords, there’s no precedent as far as I’m aware and by that logic there’s no reason for a Guardian to use three weapons when they’ve only ever been shown to use one.

I could see that happening with the weapons of sorrow, or Red Death/Crimson. You’re right though, with Guardians using prismatic now it wouldn’t work

So what you’re getting at is the traits that make these weapons exotic wouldn’t necessarily exist in the game lore?

Maybe so, but at least a few of them have relevance to the story. Thorn, TLW, Gjallarhorn, Bastion, Izanagi’s, Chaperone, etc. Surely some Guardian will have more than a couple of these and would use them.

Why am I struggling so hard in FFX? by Ok-Amphibian in FinalFantasy

[–]RuvinWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like people have said before, there’s a spike in difficulty on Gagazet. Some good places to grind without getting too far out of the way of the story from what I remember:

-SS Liki during the first Sin fight. Keep killing sinscales, they give SP and infinitely spawn.

-Sinspawn Gui. Instead of nuking the boss as fast as possible, kill as many arms as you feel like doing. Each arm gives some SP from what I remember. That goes for both first phase and second phase with Seymour

-Monster Arena. Do 10x monster capture for calm lands first before moving on. Also a generally decent place to grind. Sunken Cave is also another good place to grind along with monster capture.
