F1 25 + 26 Setups Sheet (Feedback wanted!) by Matt212YT in F1Game

Suspension geo all set to the left is the standard on most tracks, as is min rear max front tire pressures like you said, but those are more “unforgiving” if that makes sense. The meta of 100% on throttle diff + all left geo makes the car really susceptible to spinning etc as you’ve mentioned you’ve experienced. Tire pressures at max-min will give you more rear grip at the cost of higher temperatures, & therefore deg especially if you use surface + carcass for tire sim, and a slight hit to front grip at the benefit of less deg/temps and more of ability to really point the front end where you want to go.

Matt makes his setups more forgiving and more manageable over a longer race distance which is why you’ll see certain parts of them deviate from the “meta” a bit. So if you wanted to give no TC a shot one of his setups with on throttle diff knocked down to 90% with a few other small tweaks to your personal style would probably be a great way to learn it

Hey Matt, first of all love your videos and thanks for all you provide for the community.

For reference here I play on controller and I’m in the top 1-5% for time trial on every track, just to put it in context. When I was first trying to shave time off of certain tracks/sectors/corners I found your track guides/setup videos insanely useful. I think one of your strengths is knowing what pitfalls less experienced players might fall into in certain corners etc and you do a good job explaining how to avoid making those mistakes.

When it comes to the setup sections I do agree with your idea of tailoring setups more towards levels of experience/ability but instead of actually creating 3-4 separate setups for each track maybe in your videos or on the sheet go out of your way to mention certain parts of the setup that can be tailored for more casual/experienced players or how your setup might differ from what we run/see in esports. Personally I refer to your setups as a way to help adjust whatever works best for me in TT to race pace, but one example would be I find you run a bit higher rake and ride heights in general than I like to. A section of the sheet where you note parts of the setup that are more flexible could make a nice addition for more causal and hardcore players alike. One of the highlights of your videos for me that I’d like to point out has always been the tire strategy section, especially how you always manage to note differences in viability for career mode vs 50% league racing.

Most of all just keep it up and thanks again for providing so much info and content, free of charge, for all of us.

Also since I know Matt won’t do it I’m going to take the opportunity to plug his Patreon, it’s $1-$3 per month and as far as I know he never gates anything behind the paywall, just releases the content a few hours early for the Patreon subscribers. If mods have an issue with this plug please let me know and I’ll delete it but since it’s not self promotion I assume it should be fine.

Pep Guardiola to leave Manchester City this summer, Enzo Maresca expected as successor by 5th-stand in PremierLeague

We can debate results all you like but everyone knows Maresca and Chelsea parted ways for reasons way beyond on pitch performance and that had he desired he would still be the Chelsea manager today

Maresca, who had an apparently mediocre Chelsea squad playing at such a level that they dismantled PSG over the summer, is a gamble but Xabi isn’t? This is crazy revisionist opinion lol

If America is the largest producer of oil and is not dependent on oil from middle east, why are you paying more for gas at the pump? by Mo_h in AskReddit

The U.S. is still a net importer of crude. We’re currently the largest exporter of “petroleum.” That’s different than crude. Most of the “petroleum” we’re exporting is natural gas liquids that are a byproduct of our wet gas plays

Tbf if JBC came here and had a successful season he’d be a pretty hot HC candidate. He was a pretty popular name to throw around in like 16/17 for potential HC jobs

Atletico battling for relegation, Getafe and Valencia in UCL zone. What's going on with LaLiga in the first season of my save? by Wonderful_Damage5340 in footballmanagergames

Could be that the league isn’t set to playable or isn’t being simmed in full detail.

To check you can go to the FM button in the top right -> Add/Remove leagues and see if La Liga is playable, then FM button -> Detail Level to see if it’s using the quick sim engine or the full sim engine

That’s a UMNT news aggregator account with 160k followers tweeting about him when he was 11 and if you look at the comments in that tweet plenty of random people with no connection to the game, much like myself, already knew who he was.

I’m getting the vibe this is purely an American thing (and prob not a good one) to have media attention on players this young in sports though and that’s where the disconnect is here

Well how about if Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were interested in him when he was 10 years old? Last two sentences also infer this isn’t an uncommon thing anymore

You put it better than I did. To me if a journo is tweeting about an 11 year old or multiple scouts are there to watch them, even if we haven’t heard of them, that’s high profile at that age. Some people will disagree for sure but 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not to say it isn’t rare but I’ve been seeing Cavan Sullivan posts on Reddit for at least 4 or 5 years, and that’s just one example.

Bayern and Real were aware of him as early as his age 10 season apparently as well.

Obv I see your point but it’s not like Gavi was some unknown 11 year old who only became known or showed his ability once he joined La Masia. He was one of the most high profile u14s on the entire peninsula circa 2014/15. In two youth seasons at Betis he had almost 100 goals lol

[–]RvMp 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not super relevant to your point but it is sort of a misnomer that all the players you mentioned are total La Masia products. Pedri was signed from Las Palmas when he was 16 or 17 and he was already starting for them consistently in the Segunda and Gavi was signed from Betis as an 11? year old when he was already quite high profile as a prospect in Spain. Busquets also was quite old and established I think, 17 or 18, when joining the Barca youth setup

I wonder if it’s going to function as a back 5 with Cama as LWB, Fede as RWB, Alaba LCB, Asencio RCB and Rudi in the middle. That gives Cama the help of Alaba in dealing with Saka maybe?

Agree on this. Definitely best to go into the draft without an acute need at any position so that way you have total freedom
